Join me, a 27-year-old sushi chef in Tokyo, for a guided walk through Tsukiji Market! I host this tour only on Mondays and Thursdays, my days off from the sushi restaurant, as a personal passion.
We’ll explore lively streets filled with vendors selling fresh seafood, produce, and traditional Japanese foods. As someone who visits these markets daily for my restaurant, I’ll share insider stories and show how sushi chefs pick the best fish and ingredients.
We’ll also discover hidden local gems most tourists miss, including shops for kitchen knives, dashi ingredients, and Japanese teas.
Additionally, we will visit nearby temples and shrines. I will share their history and teach you proper manners for visiting and paying respects (o-mairi).
Along the way, we'll discuss the history of Tsukiji, Japan’s fish culture, and the art of Edomae-style sushi.
This experience offers a deeper appreciation for Tokyo’s culinary and spiritual traditions.
