5.00Overall an excellent experience. The pickup and travel to the Park was on time and also flexible. The safari itself great - we saw heaps of elephants, crocs, water buffalo and deer. Lovely birds of all colours. We didn’t see a leopard but this was not for want of trying - our driver followed a lead and we ‘hunted’ a look but nature doesn’t always work that way. Afternoon light was beautiful beyond description. Our driver to and from Tissa, Chathura, was lovely and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make our trip memorable.

4.00Not full score only because we didn’t see a leopard, so no criticism of guide whatsoever !!! Malle was amazing, don’t be fooled by his basic vehicle - he knows the place like the back of his hand after 30+ years experience, he was spotting the tiniest of creatures, like a baby lizard peeking out of a hole in a tree ! Great morning!!! Next time we’ll do an afternoon/evening session …. With Malle ;)

3.00We started the day very early; 3am. The pick up the other passengers until the van was full. We even put two girls in the front next to the driver, very uncomfortable for a long trip. We got to the safari, it was ok, the biggest problem was after, when they sent us with a driver without gps or knowing the area. He was lost asking us where was the hotel was. It was our first time in the area. Crazy!!!

5.00We had a wonderful experience on our Yala safari, all thanks to Sam and his excellent team. Everything was extremely smooth and very well planned from start to finish. The pick-up and drop from Galle with Ishan was punctual and comfortable. The safari itself with Shashi was amazing — he was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the entire experience truly enjoyable. The lunch break after the safari was a thoughtful addition and a really nice touch after a long morning. Overall, it was a fantastic and hassle-free experience. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and seamless coordination. Would highly recommend Sam to anyone planning a Yala safari, and we’ll definitely be sharing his details with friends and family visiting Sri Lanka.

5.00We had a great afternoon, didn’t dare to hope that we might see a Leopard, just couldn’t believe how lucky we were our guide was experienced and advised that we wait for a while and sure enough we were able to have a wonderful sighting not just of a Leopard, but Elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, monitor lizards, mongoose, buffalo and a huge amount of bird life

5.00An immersive Sri Lankan wildlife ADVENTURE. A very emotional experience awaited for us at just 5 minutes from Yala National Park main entrance. At 02h09 PM, we met the leopard. He was in a Ceylon Ebony tree above our stopped jeep. Within seconds, having perceived our presence, slowly descended the trunk, just a few meters from the jeep right side. Then, at 02h59PM, we spotted a second leopard, chasing an herds of screaming Spotted Deers in the plain, on the left side of our jeep. He slowly walk along, passing by a group of buffalos, grazing on grass. Then, he disappeared in the bush of Tamarindos. We intend to express our gratitude to Mr. Nilantha, jeep driver of Eagle Safari for his bucking the trend, with intuition and perseverance. We heartily salute also Mr. Lasante, driver of Riff Hikkaduwa Hotel for the excellent organization and planning. G&B Novelli, Sanremo, Italy

5.00We had a fantastic all day experience with 4 hours in the Yala nature reserve seeing animals the whole time. The guides new w here to go and had sharp eyes to.see animals at moments a normal guest would nor spot eg a Leopard in a tree
