5.00Madawa was on time and approached me by name which was nice. His English was excellent, and he has a good knowledge of Galle history. He was so personable - we connected on lots of things - cricket, dogs, outlook on life. He is a very positive and kind person, with a strong career in tourism and hospitality. It was such a pleasure to be down around this historic city by him

5.00The guide is superb, fantastic English and he mixes key facts about Galle with general information about life in Sri Lanka All in all it’s about a 90 minute stroll mostly around the walls but also in town taking in the key features and looking at the architecture. Really good value

5.00We had a 6 AM tour to avoid the heat later in the day. Madawa was right on time. He was easy to talk to and able to answer any of our questions that came up. We learned some of the history of the fort but also more broadly about Sri Lanka — its people and history. The value of the tour really came about through the interaction when he would tell us something and we could follow up with questions. It was informative but also friendly and fun. Recommended.
