Chureito Pagoda
The Chureito Pagoda is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine is a beautiful and historic shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan, at the foot of Mount Fuji. It is one of the oldest shrines dedicated to the goddess of Mount Fuji, Konohanasakuya-hime, who is believed to protect people from volcanoes and bring good fortune. The shrine is surrounded by tall, ancient cedar trees that create a calm and spiritual atmosphere. Visitors enter through a huge red torii gate and walk along a long path leading to the main shrine buildings. It’s also the traditional starting point for climbing Mount Fuji from the Yoshida Trail. The peaceful forest, sacred buildings, and natural beauty make this shrine a special place to visit.
