This food tour is incredible!! We had Sandy lead us and she was amazing. Sandy went into the history behind the food and Penang we learnt lots. Make sure to arrive hungry as there are so many delicious dishes and do this tour early in your trip to Penang so you can return to the lovely food restaurants! This has been our favourite experience in Malaysia so far!

One of the highlights of George Town. Couldn’t recommend enough. All food stops were delicious and a great mix between street food and restaurants. Ken was a great host.

Grace was great and the food was amazing. We went to several Michelin Bib Gourmand places that no one would ever know of or find. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

We had a vey enjoyable evening with a nice bunch of people. Grace our guide was obviously very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in her job and this made the experience more enjoyable for us. We enjoyed all of the food we ate (which was plentiful) with a surprising highlight of the chicken samosa. Thank you Grace for looking after us.

A Chef's Tour walking food tour in Penang was great! Our guide, Grace, was knowledgeable, helpful, and took very good care of us. The dishes were interesting and tasty. Plus we met neat people on the tour! (And, we really appreciated the ability to accommodate no fish or seafood.)

This was the best food tour we have ever been on.A fusion of dishes from different cultures. Sandy not only explained the backround to the food but gave us a huge understanding of the fascinating cultural influence behind. Where different cultures unite. I hope someone can capture this in a documentary soon so many more can experience this wonder of tne world

We had an absolutely fantastic street food tour and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Sandy. We truly felt like we’d lucked out getting her. Every single thing we ate was delicious — so much so that it’s genuinely impossible to pick a favourite. The food alone would have made this tour worthwhile, but what really elevated the experience was Sandy herself. Her local knowledge is incredible, and the way she shares it — with such enthusiasm, warmth, and genuine passion — makes you want to listen for hours. The four hours flew by, and we were completely engaged the entire time. It felt less like a “tour” and more like being shown around by a knowledgeable local friend who loves her city and its food. Thank you, Sandy, for such a memorable experience. We’ll be recommending this tour to everyone we know who’s coming here — it’s an absolute must-do. — Kathryn

We loved this tour! Our guide CE was fabulous and shared so much local history and knowledge not only about the food but also the art, social history and origins of the different foods. The walk between each bit of eating was also really good as there was so much delicious food!! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful tasting experience led by Sandy. I can highly recommend this, and would do it again! We tasted numerous, very different dishes, from fantastic samosas, over some great Nyonya food and more Chinese noodles. We did this on our first afternoon in Georgetown, which was a great way to start the trip, get a feeling for the city, and know what food to seek out again!
