What To Expect
Chaiya Mangalaram Thai Buddhist Temple
Your driver will pick you up from your respective hotel to proceed with the city Tour. Firstly you will visit Wat Chayamangkalaram Temple where the 4th longest Reclining Buddha Statue is found.
Dhammikarama Burmese Temple
Right across the road you may also visit the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple which holds a Buddha statue standing at 8.2 meters, making it the tallest in Malaysia. The existence of these two temples is due to the early settlement of the Thai and Burmese community in the early 1800s.

4.00This was kind of an overview…we enjoyed some shopping and then went up to Penang Hill. It is a steep drive up and the price of the drive up was not included in the tour.We had such a short time there we kind of rushed to see the next thing.

5.00My friend and I had a wonderful half day tour with Anson (local guide) that far exceeded our expectations. He was so kind and knowledgeable about the city and took us to some of Georgetown’s most beautiful and famous sites. We loved our visit to Penang and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

5.00Gshen was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who takes the initiative to share more about things beyond the tour. For example, sharing with us how to travel to certain food places, how to navigate the area. He also goes the extra mile by bringing us to a lot of food spots around our hotel. He didn’t rush through the tour and gave us ample time to do our own sightseeing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is new to Penang!

5.00Shawn was my tour guide and ended up just me and him, which was great, felt very special! Picked up promptly, even a bit early. Went to tropical spice garden, entopia butterfly place, batik factory, coffee shop, and drive through and quick photo stop at George Town. Had a really great time. Shawn was very kind at taking photos of me and knowing how and where to stand! Great time, did things I never knew existed on penang!

5.00Our tour guide G-Shen was brilliant. He was waiting for us at the cruise ship terminal in a comfortable vehicle accommodating the 4 adults in our group. His knowledge & attention to us was great. We loved our visit to the temple, the jetty village, the street art, Georgetown, & the funicular ride. We all felt we had saw so much in our 4.5 hours with him. Highly recommend.
