Chiang Mai
Don’t follow the herd. Forget green curry and pad Thai, that's central Thai fare. Hop on board our private songthaew truck for four hours of feasting. Hit up the street eats and fresh markets across the city gorging on 15+ Northern Thai tastings. Many are unaware that this used to be the Lanna Kingdom well before it was part of Thailand and its food influences come from neighbouring Myanmar, China and beyond. We don't want to spoil the surprise, but some drool-worthy highlights include the zingy nam ngiaw noodles, the meaty larb salads, the sizzling lemongrass sai oua sausages and piquant nam prik relishes among many more lip-smackingly good tastings at places you'd struggle to find alone.

Aim our tour guide was a lot of fun and so was our group. It was nice to go around the city together to try new foods that I would normally not know what it is and try it.

What a fun, interesting experience!!! I loved all of the places went to. They were places I would have never thought to try. I liked most of the dishes and was pushed a little out of my comfort zone which is what I wanted. My guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Some of the food was so hard to stop eating because it was too good. You definitely have to pace yourself if you want to try everything.

This was a really good introduction to northern Thai food. Indy was our guide, and made sure that the group did not go home hungry. The whole experience was enjoyable and interesting, and she also took the time to send us a full list the following day of everything we tasted, always helpful when you've had twenty different dishes put in front of you.

A great introduction to Northern cuisine, especially if you don’t know where to start. These tours are especially great for solo travelers, since you get to try many dishes, while alone you might be able to try one. Aim, the guide, was very knowledgeable and was very excited to share her knowledge with us.
