Doi Inthanon
Located in Chiang Mai Province, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, rising 2,565 meters above sea level. Doi Inthanon National Park has lots of amazing variations in its lush geography and forest. It is home to rainforest, mixed forest, and pine forest. The weather is cool throughout the year, especially in the cool season when there will be almost constant fog coverage all day and a stunning phenomenon of Mae Kha Ning or frost flower in the early morning.

This 3-in-1 tour is perfect for people who are trying to see a different area of Chiang Mai and have a full-day’s worth of activities. Our guide, Rainbow, was fun and knowledgeable, and made sure everybody in our small group of 6 was having a great time. The elephant sanctuary in the morning is definitely the highlight of this tour, where you get to feed and bathe the elephants, and have an overall lowkey morning. There was a baby elephant who was chasing and playing with her mahout the whole time which was really cute to watch. The afternoon can feel a little less exhilarating in comparison, but there are still some beautiful views and great spots to site-see. The garden behind the queen pagoda was under renovation during our tour which was a little unfortunate since we were looking forward to seeing it, but the pagodas themselves are still very beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Overall, a good way to spend the day and we would certainly recommend this tour to anybody wanting to take a day trip from the city.

Despite the rain and foggy conditions, we had a fantastic time with Jon! He was very knowledgeable along every point of the journey. We were awestruck by the elephants and being at the highest point in Thailand was something we will remember forever. Our favourite part was the hike, where you pass through lush forests with cascading waterfalls, see rice farms and various local fruit growing, and try local tea and coffee at the end. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

We had a fantastic day. Mr. Wat was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and we appreciated his humor, as well. Our 8 year old did just fine with the 11 hour trip. Our favorite part was the elephant sanctuary but the hike was nice too. Mr. Wat took plenty of pics which was nice gesture. Even though we hit a little rain, it did not ruin the hike or experience one bit. Check this tour out if you're in Chiang Mai!

We had an amazing time in this tour, we've done a lot of things that you could easily need two separate tours to do (i.e. we've done both elephants and Doi Inthanon in one tour). We got a bit unlucky with the weather as there was no good visibility for the Pagodas but that's just luck. Our guide pajarito (birdie) was absolutely amazing and we were super impressed with his level of Spanish!

We had a great day despite some downpours and sprinkling rain. Our guide, Mark, was very friendly and kept us informed. He answered our questions. The driver was very skilled at driving theountainpus roads, but the van was a bit cramped with no leg room in the front row. The elephant sanctuary was a fun and informative experience. We got to feed the herd of females and stand close to them while they were feeding on corn and grass. We followed them to the river and helped wash them. We had a veg pad thai and fresh fruit lunch. The store at the highest point was very brief and then we went to the King and Quees pagoda. There were some interesting buddha relics with info in english and thai. The hike in Doi Inthanon was really good and by then the rain had stopped. A local woman guide joined us to point out some plants and wildlife along the way. It was steep at the beginning and at the end but not too taxing overall. We finished in a local cafe/ shop to taste coffees and teas. It was a good combination tour if you have 12 hours. The mountain temps were more pleasant than the heat in Chiang Mai in May.

Really fun day trip, well organized. The pictures online don’t do the hike justice, very pretty and all downhill. The elephants were cute and fun to feed. The sanctuary seemed like they take quite good care of the elephants. The pagodas didn’t exactly look like I thought they would from photos online (in general not just from this tour), but still a beautiful place.

Great tour! Interacting with the elephants was definitely the highlight of the day for us. Lunch was good, guides were fantastic. The hike was longer that we expected, but we enjoyed it.

Amazing experience for our whole family. It is a long day but that's what you would expect for a 3 in 1 day. Food was good at elephant sanctuary but more water during the day would have been better. Consider taking your own water too. Not as strenuous as you might imagine either... overall GREAT day
