Take a guided day trip from Paris to explore Normandy’s historic D-Day sites.
Start at Utah Beach, where American troops first landed, and learn about the strategic planning behind Operation Overlord. Walk along the battle-scarred coastline and hear stories of the soldiers who helped shape history.
Enjoy a pre-arranged Norman-style lunch in a charming port town before heading to Pointe du Hoc. Here, U.S. Army Rangers bravely scaled towering cliffs to capture a key German stronghold. The site remains much as it was, with bomb craters and bunkers overlooking the English Channel.
Next, visit Omaha Beach, where you'll have time to walk along the shore and reflect on one of the war’s fiercest battles.
The day ends at the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, where nearly 10,000 soldiers are laid to rest. Stroll through the peaceful grounds and take in the powerful tribute to their sacrifice.
This immersive tour offers a moving and unforgettable look at the events of D-Day.

You’ll join your expert guide in Paris aboard a comfortable, private coach. On the way to Normandy, learn the details of the Allied preparations for D-Day, the largest amphibious assault in history. Your guide, a fluent English-speaker, will stay with you throughout the tour to tell the story of the operation and answer questions from history buffs and curious minds. On Utah Beach, your first stop, the Allies quickly defeated the German forces. You’ll visit an extraordinary D-Day museum housed in an old German bunker on the landing beach itself. The collection here brings home both the scale and the personal sacrifice involved in the operation, with an original B-26 airplane on display along with collections of soldiers’ letters home.
Utah Beach
Utah Beach was the westernmost landing site on D-Day and played a crucial role in the success of the Allied invasion. Unlike Omaha Beach, the landings here were met with lighter resistance, allowing troops to move inland more quickly and secure vital strategic positions. Standing on Utah Beach today, with its vast stretch of sand and open coastline, gives a powerful sense of the scale of the operation and the courage of the soldiers who fought there. The site remains a deeply significant place to reflect on the challenges of D-Day and the determination that led to the liberation of Europe.

We were very excited about the opportunity to visit Omaha and Utah beaches and see some of the D-Day landing sites. We knew the ride would be long, but 3+ hours each way (with traffic) in a completely packed group on a bus wasn’t exactly what we envisioned. We wish we took a train instead and rented a car for the day to self tour a bit. The group was way too large to have a great experience, with many 40-50 people total. Lunch was mediocre at best, and while the food wasn’t bad, my wife says it was the worst meal we’ve had since coming to France a week ago. It also stated lunch was at Pont du Hoc, but it was at a restaurant in a harbor instead that didn’t have a view and again seemed a bit lackluster. The tour guide was very informative, but also spent over an hour of the outbound trip going over the First and Second World War in pretty extreme detail, which was nice in one way, but also the tour started at 7am and everyone was trying to sleep a little. Many of the sites we visited felt rushed. We had 15 minutes at Omaha beach for example, and an hour at the museum but that’s not even close to enough time to read through the signs and take in what you’re seeing. Overall, I’d recommend skipping this tour and instead booking a train or renting a car so you can self tour at your own leisure and then explore other areas as well.

Sam was AWESOME! He’s a college professor who loves to give tours and his passion for the content shows. Super knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. I totally recommend this tour and if you get Sam, consider yourself in for a real treat! As for the tour, all the stops along the way were fantastic and surreal.

My husband and I enjoyed the ability to see several major sites for D-Day as well as have a guide to point out things not to miss. We were able to sleep a bit on the bus ride on the way there and then the guide began going over the history before we got to our first site. I do have to say, the lunch was disappointing. Overall, it was a great way to tour the beaches of Normandy within one day of our trip to Paris.

Our tour guide Maja was great. She had details on the events that I was not aware of. Wish the visits could have been a little longer but you need to spend a couple of days if you really want the experience.

John our tour guide was excellent! Well planned day and so much information. I don’t understand why I have to add more than I want to say. Maybe if you got rid of this ridiculous criteria you would get more reviews.

This tour with John was outstanding. All the information he has to impart, and his enthusiasm shows he really does his homework. The itinerary was perfect and packed in so much for one day. It certainly was worth the price. We also appreciated John easy casual, friendly style while also able to keep all participants aware of the value of adhering to a pretty defined schedule, we were so happy with the tour, besides being interesting it was inspirational and quite touching, I thought I appreciated the sacrifices our soldiers made, but I’m at a greater level now!
