Palace of Versailles
Time to discover the grandeur of the French monarchy. Originally a hunting lodge, King Louis XIII transformed the site into the iconic Versailles Palace and Gardens in the 17th century, now designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you skip the line with your guide to enter the palace, you'll discover over 2,000 rooms, each adorned with exquisite art and treasures, offering a glimpse into the opulence of the French royal court. This estate served as the epicenter of French power and luxury during the reign of King Louis XIV, who spared no expense in his pursuit of perfection. Your expert guide will share fascinating tales of the court's lavish lifestyle and the notorious scandals that rocked Versailles during its heyday. The palace's stunning design also offers breath-taking views of the manicured gardens.

Our guide Joe was fabulous and his tour was very interesting. We also didn't have to join the long queue at the entrance which is always good.

You meet the group and then you walk to subway station, take a subway and a train to location then walk to Versailles. It’s a 2 hr trip. Versailles was totally worth it and our guide was so knowledgeable and sweet. After the tour you are not guided back to the location where we met. If you don’t want to tackle that on your own, it’s about a 35 euro uber ride.

The travel time to Versailles took 1.5 hours as the train at meeting point Hermes Cafe either wasn’t running or down. It was very stressful walking 15 minutes to one train and then having to change and wait for the trip to Versailles. We got a total of 1 hour of tour time. Our guide had a heavy accent and was hard to understand. I would recommend going on your own. Also had to find your own way back on the train which was stressful. Avoid this tour.
