Le Marais/ Paris tour is to discover the secrets of one of the most exciting old area of the city.

You explore the beauty of French architecture of the aristocracy and royalty of France, waking in the narrow streets, along typical ‘Hotel Particuliers’- French urban ‘mansion’.

You admire the unique in Europe ‘Place de Vosges’ former ‘Place Royale’, where French writer, Victor Hugo lived and wrote the romantic novel ’Notre-Dame de Paris’ and the modern art galleries around it.

You walk along perfume and vintage shops, so appreciated by both Parisians and the travelers and small local food shops and French cafes and terraces.

My itinerary leads you to off – touristy spots, court- yards and gardens, to the Jewish district, with its typical food stores and refined kosher pastry.

Next to it, the lively LGBT district is to be visited especially for its cafés, bars and cool boutiques (optional).

Oh that Jill !!! we took the tour with Jill recently and all I can say, it was one of the highlights. Jill is a wealth of hidden places, and information that we would never know otherwise. She was great and would highly recommend !

All of the other people who were booked on this tour canceled and Jill was kind enough to do the tour for only me. She was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the history of the Marais. I learned so much and she pointed out things I never would have known without her. I would highly recommend this tour.

The other travelers who were booked on this tour canceled at the last minute. Jill was kind enough to do the Marais tour just for me. I loved the tour and her knowledge of the history of the district. She pointed out things I never would have known about without her. I would highly recommend this tour.

Jill’s Paris Always Walk tour Le Marais/Paris went above and beyond for our group of 4 friends. She included historical and architectural information pointing out details we never would have observed on our own, along with discussion of area cultural changes and a wonderful walk through part of today’s Jewish community. Thank you Jill for a special afternoon!
Loved learning little innuendos and stories also connecting archaic 15 century to other centuries, going up to present.

Jill was filled with historic and many delightful stories. We could hear everything she said. I felt she could’ve tightened the information. She seemed to go over the same info too many times, but she was a good storyteller.

Jillian is highly informed about the location and is quite thorough and generous. At the onset, she discusses your expectations of the tour and then follows through. We learned, we laughed and we cried. A most memorable experience for our last full day of a week's stay in Paris. I would have bypassed some of our other activities if I knew Jillian's availability. She is a gem !
