Simon was absolutely knowledgeable and kind. He shared wonderful stories about the Māori traditions, the history of land formation in Wellington, and brought us to an extra cheese shop as he heard we all loved cheese. We were lucky to meet with wonderful ppl as well! Awesome (and very safe) trip!

Our guide, Gary, was punctual and had interesting history/facts about the area & wineries we toured. He also had good recommendations for restaurants in Wellington.

Simon, our driver and guide was very knowledgeable about the local area and New Zealand. Poppies, the first winery we visited provided the best tasting experience. Our sommelier was one of the vintners - very passionate and knowledgeable. The second winery was Moy Hall. The lunch was good, especially the gravlax. The tastings were poured during the lunch. This was less intimate. The third winery, Palliser, was a lovely location. The tasting experience was okay, but our sommelier was spread between too many groups - a hen party and generally busy Saturday. So this took away from the overall experience.

Great trip to 3 vineyards. The scenery on route was fantastic and our guide Simon ensured that the windy roads were navigated with care and consideration for us passengers. The lunch on offer was amazing and the wines good. Simon was very knowledgeable in everything wine and also the NZ history along the way. I would definitely recommend this trip!

Simon was an excellent guide sharing the history of both the NZ landscape and regional wine-making with our small group, picking a great selection of local wineries to boot. Margrain, Poppies, and Palliser all had exceptional wines, and the lunch at Palliser's was delicious. Although Martinborough's known for its Pinots the dessert wine at Margrain's was something special, and the tasting board at Palliser's is really enough for two and then some!

We absolutely enjoyed the tour! Simon was very knowledgeable and delightful. The wineries were beautiful and the wine was fantastic. The experience of visiting John’s winery, Ocean Child, was amazing! We got an insight into the wine making process and got to try a new product. I would take the tour again.

The winery experience was rushed with limited choices. The winery staff seemed to be on a tight time schedule which made it feel rushed.
