The tour was well organized and Telli our tourguide was really funny and made the whole trip really easy. I really enjoyed my time in this week and I think we saw a lot of different things.

Thanks to the Wild Kiwi tour, I got to see and explore so many beautiful sites and nooks of the Northern island! However, the only thing I was not happy about was the uncomfortable bus. There were a lot of tall people in our group, including me, who really struggled, and many people had a sore lower back after being squashed in the seat. I think, the management should consider buying a more comfy bus with more leg room and reclining seats. They are essential for such long drives. But thanks for all the new emotions, recommendations of our bubbly guide Claudia and tge information that we all gained on this tour!

Traveling the North Island of New Zealand for seven days with Wild Kiwi Tours was one of the best experiences I’ve had in the country. What made it truly special wasn’t just the places we visited, but the people I shared the journey with. Even though I was traveling solo, I felt part of the group from the very beginning - we bonded quickly, and the dynamic made everything more fun and memorable. We road-tripped from Auckland to Rotorua, Waitomo, and Lake Taupo, explored glowworm caves, soaked in hot pools, hiked Mount Tarawera, visited Hobbiton (easily one of the happiest days of my life), sang karaoke with local Māori in Rotorua, and even celebrated Secret Santa on Christmas. A huge part of what made the trip so smooth was Claudia, our guide and driver. Her attention to detail, calm presence, and ability to handle logistics on the spot made everything feel effortless. She made sure everyone felt supported and taken care of, so we could simply enjoy each day. The bond we formed over those seven days was so strong that when the tour ended, it didn’t feel like goodbye. We kept finding ways to meet again in different parts of the South Island, and now we’re already planning another trip together. I’d happily travel with Wild Kiwi again in a heartbeat.

I had a great week exploring the North Island. I feel like I got to see a lot of things and learned a lot about the culture. We had about 16 people in our group, all very friendly. Our guide was also wonderful.

As a solo female traveller in my 20s, this was the best way to travel the north island of New Zealand. Ben was an incredible tour guide, he just brought the best vibes, best energy and absolutely made the trip. The small group of 18 was perfect for what I needed, I got to know every person really well. Forget solo travel, I spent New Zealand with 18 of my closest friends.

This was my second tour as a solo traveller with Wild Kiwi, and it was an absolute BLAST. I was aboard the Northern Voyager, and had a tour group with travellers from all over the world - India, Belgium, Netherlands, America, Australia - SO cool. I love that there’s scope to organise your day depending on what activities you want to participate in. Whether you’re keen for adventure (eg white water rafting, HIGHLY recommend that was so much fun), or if you’re looking for something more chill (plenty of hiking options), there’s options for everyone. One of my favourite nights, was playing card games and having pizza with the group, laughing and sharing a few drinks. While the weather was slightly unpredictable (eg we couldn’t do a large hike that had been planned), there were always alternatives and I’m always quite happy to wander around a new town! THANK YOU!

The Wild Kiwi tour was amazing! I did both the North and the Southern Loop and this combination was just perfect. So many possibilities to do, so well guided and informed by Ben (North) and Siobhan (South) about how to best plan the days. Both our tour guides were Kiwis so they also had many fun facts to share on and off the bus about the country and the people, which made the whole trip even that more engaging. They also joined the group in all the fun and felt part of it completely. Loved every minute of my tour! Thanks Wild Kiwi!
