  It was absolutely wonderful having this experience. Big shoutout to Nicky, our tour guide who have us great insights and jokes on the way to the locations, which in itself was wonderful as well. Would recommend to take this tour.

  The caves with the glow worms was amazing. Hobbiton was very beautiful. Get a seat toward the front of the bus so you can hear the bus driver better. He is a wealth of information. Fun experience.

  Lovely visit to the shire and Waitamo caves. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and shared quite a few facts and stories throughout the trip. She gave good amount of time for breaks and was helpful throughout. Overall a memorable experience.

  I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the service we received. We paid a maximum price and received minimal service – if any at all. We arrived at the pickup location only two minutes late, and despite this, the staff had already left, without attempting to contact us, without waiting even briefly, and without showing the slightest flexibility or basic human consideration. This behavior is unprofessional, unfair, and shows a complete lack of respect for customers. There is absolutely no justification for charging such a high price for a service that demonstrates zero responsibility, zero care, and no willingness to help or find a solution. I expect a serious response and an appropriate resolution, as this experience is far from what anyone should expect when paying for a premium service.

  This was my first tour since I arrived to NZ and I am glad to do so. Rachel was so witty and informative about Auckland, nature, culture, history, etc. I felt welcomed and closer to NZ from the comments during the tour. Watimoto cave and Hobbiton was wonderful. You move about on the tour bus and the guides are assigned for each site. Follow your bus guide's instructions and you will enjoy everything. * You won't be able to use a tripod at Hobbiton. No photos of any device in the cave. You get vegetarian or chicken option for lunch box.

  This is a good day trip where 2 activities are combined - Waitamo Glow worms followed by Hobbitton set tour. Waitamo glow worms cave was a bit of letdown and we give only 3 out of 5 stars. The guide at the cave was trying to be funny and didn’t have much to talk. The glowworms are few in number and the entire cave experience is less than 30 minutes if you exclude the waiting time. The Hobbitton set tour was fantastic and is easily a 5 out of 5 star. If you are a fan of LOTR or Hobbit movies, this tour is worth every penny. You will be transported into the filmy shire set and a get a taste of hobbit experience. The gift shop and the icecream is a treat as well. The bus ride was comfortable and the journey is through the picturesque greenery countryside of North New Zealand.
