Walk through the Iconic Glow Worm caves on a guided Tour and see the spectacular formations, finish the tour with a boat ride through the Glowworm tunnels.

5.00Thanks Auckland and Beyond Tours & Viator for this amazing combined tour and experience. Despite the rain, we had a spectacular day and the van was comfortable, amazing tour guide Adhil who ensured that we are looked after & had snacks inclusion. He was so knowledgeable and shared interesting stories of New Zealand and its culture. He took us to a surprise farm & even recommended and dropped us off to one of the nicest resto in Auckland City with delicious food. Hope to see again in our next visit in New Zealand!

From start to finish, he was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly thoughtful about every detail of the day. His storytelling brought Hobbiton to life in such a fun and immersive way—even if you’re not a die-hard fan, it’s impossible not to be enchanted. Andy managed the schedule seamlessly, making sure we never felt rushed while still fitting everything in comfortably. At Waitomo, he provided great context and history beforehand, which made the glowworm cave experience even more magical and meaningful. What really stood out was Andy’s genuine care for the group—he was approachable, funny, and happy to answer questions, take photos, and make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. It felt personal, not scripted. Highly recommend this tour, and if you can request Andy as your guide, do it. You’ll walk away with amazing memories and an even deeper appreciation for New Zealand’s beauty.

5.00Dave was an excellent, funny, and very helpful tour guide! He gave commentary throughout most of the drive, made sure he had everyone before leaving any destination, and even came back to meet us when we realized we forgot something on the tour bus. The Hobbiton and Glow Worm Caves were definitely worth the trip! Highly recommend!
