2.00Our driver, Dennis, was fairly new to the job. Nice guy. The lady supposedly organizing everything was not very good at her job. We were instructed to get on one of the first busses to town and tour would be leaving shortly after that. We stood around for about 45 minutes before we were given any information. Would not recommend

5.00Napier is a beautiful city with beautiful Art Deco buildings and stunning countryside. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information about the history of the place. It was a lovely way to spend our port time. Great informative trip, with stunning landscapes. Our guide did a great job.

5.00The guide was so nice and even waited for me to arrive as I was 40 minutes late. (Shuttle service from the ship was awful) He was very knowledgeable and shared plenty of history and interesting information. The Art Deco influence was everywhere and he took us to all of his favorite places.
Boring 4 hours in the very uncomfortable small van!2 of us sit on the wheels seat! No place to put our legs!

4.00The guide was very good at pointing out the art deco in the city buildings. He also took care to make sure we were comfortable — including bathroom stops every hour or so. Very informative. Took us to a great viewpoint for a break at the end of the tour. Loved the honey store!!!

1.00Biggest waste of time and money my wife and I have ever done. Only having 4 hours to complete the tour, our tour wasted the first 25 minutes leaving town, only to turn around to exchange 4 passengers that had been placed on the wrong tour van. Our driver had no knowledge of the van he was driving, he didn't know how to work the step or the heating and defroster. Being pressed for time, it was very surprising to our group to witness our driver stop to take a photo of an antique camper van, while we all sat in the van waiting for him to take some pictures. The driver more than once, tried answering his cellphone while driving, totally unprofessional and it showed he was incapable of accomplishing both tasks at the same time as we weaving across the road. Our driver told us he usually drives a large tour bus, but his skills were lacking while operating the van, so I find it hard to believe he could handle a tour bus. A bottle of water was supposed to have been provided for each passenger, but none was available. They also say they will give you a souvenir which is a postcard. While we were pressed for time, we did manage to spend a full 30 minutes at a honey farm. The driver did point out numerous homes as we were driving around, and offered his opinion as to the cost of these homes. If you are stopping in Napier on a cruise and have limited time, don't waste it on this tour.

1.00Watching our driver trying to work the defroster and then he was trying to answer his cell phone while driving. Totally not professional. He was good at pointing out supermarkets and homes with flat roofs. We did make a photo stop so the driver could take a photo of an antique car.
