A very warm welcome from Lorelle, Greg and the team here at Wine Tours by Bike Your day in a nutshell... We offer 2 bike hire timeslots.... 10.00am-4.00pm with a shuttle pickup from your accommodation at 9.30am or 11.00am-5.00pm with the shuttle pickup from your accommodation at 10.30am. The shuttle service is offered if your accommodation is in Blenheim within 15km of our base (our address is 33 Blicks Road, Renwick, so if in doubt, please look on Google before booking or contact us directly to double check). On arrival at our base you will get the chance to try out the bikes to find one that suits you. You will be given your own detailed cellar door map to keep to refer to during the day and the team will talk you through this to help get you orientated with the area. There is then a short safety briefing and a video that runs through all of the cellar doors that has up-to-date information on what wines they offer, their tasting charges, if they have food available and their opening/closing times. The team will be there at all times to help you with any questions you may have, and offer advice and ideas on routes and where you might like go. You will be fitted with a hi-vis helmet and given a lanyard to pop around your neck (this has our contact details on it and a reminder of what time your bike hire finishes), then you are free to go and visit your chosen cellar doors and do so all at your own pace. If you need us for anything whilst you are out, the team are but a phone call away. Once your time on the bikes is finished, you return to our base and our shuttle will be waiting here to take you back to your accommodation again. If on our 10.00am-4.00pm timeslot, our shuttle should have you home safe and sound by 4.30pm. If on our 11.00am-5.00pm timeslot, our shuttle should have you home safe and sound by 5.30pm. You may also bring yourselves directly to our base if you would prefer - we have plenty of free parking available for you. The legal alcohol drinking age is 18 years old. Please remember to bring either an International Passport ID , or a NZ Drivers License if you are aged between 18-25 years old. (The cellar doors can only legally accept these as forms of ID) Lunch Ideas Most of the cellar doors offer cheese/mixed platters and you do not need to book in to get one of these ahead of time - you can just order one when you arrive there to have alongside your tastings. However, if you would prefer something a little more substantial, these are the restaurant options that are within biking distance and to be on the safe-side, we would recommend that you book at table before the day of your bike hire. The Fancy Cow - 25 minutes biking from our base (Open 5 days, closed on Monday & Tuesday) Allan Scott - 40 minutes biking from our base – bookings essential (Open 7 days a week) Vines Village Café - 20 minutes biking from our base (Open 7 days a week). If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know as we are more than happy to recommend the restaurant/s that we feel will be the best at catering for you. Note: Please do not book lunch at Wither Hills, Saint Clair’s, Harvest Restaurant or the Wine Kitchen as they are all too far away and therefore not accessible on our bikes - best visited by car :-) CELLAR DOORS There is no need for you to book in ahead of time to visit any of the cellar doors that surround us here in Renwick. You will have upwards of 12+ to choose from who are between 5-20 minutes biking from our place and you can simply turn up and they will do a tasting with you. The ONLY cellar doors that do require bookings are: *Hans Herzog* - they are a 25-minute bike ride from our base, so if you want to go there, the ideal times to book would be between 12 Noon and 2pm. *Cloudy Bay* – they are a 40-minute bike ride from our base, so if you want to go there, the ideal times to book would be between 12 Noon and 1pm. Alternatively, maybe you can visit them by car the next day. *Framingham Wines* - they are a 7-minute bike ride from our base All 3 cellar doors have a booking form on their website that you will need to complete.

Great communication when booking advising us on which campsites to book so we could be picked up. Lorelle came to collect and was bang on time. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable, they provided us with a map and advice about different cycle routes. We had a fabulous day cycling mainly off road along trails and through vineyards. Each cellar door we visited had a slightly different approach so each stop felt different. We particularly enjoyed the Alan Scott and Forrest cellar doors. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend it as a great way to experience wine tasting at your own pace, choosing which wineries you want to visit whilst cycling through fabulous scenery. Thanks Lorelle and Greg

The whole event was very organised. Lorelle and Greg were efficient and quick to get us on our way. The bikes were well maintained and we could choose the bike we wanted to use. Helmets were available ( essential) and a map provided which was self explanatory and easy to use. The roads we used were very quiet with beautiful scenery. The wineries were friendly, good value and hospitable. We had such a good day and learnt a lot about New Zealand wines and their production. Lots of happy memories made!

We had a great day (even in the drizzly rain!). We were given a good overview and recommendations of the local cellar doors and managed to get to all the ones we wanted to go to. The shuttle service was super handy so we could enjoy the wine without worry about driving!

Brilliant experience. They picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back. Provided bikes, helmets, maps and guidance. Very close to all of the vineyards. Pam was lovely and really helpful.

Very well organised, the van picked us up promptly as planned from our holiday camp. There was useful info to read enroute and a short informative talk on arrival. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable. A great way to visit the vineyards and sample their wines whilst seeing the beautiful countryside.

Our family of four (kids aged nine and twelve) had a great afternoon cycling between Blenheim’s excellent wineries. Lorelle and Greg were excellent hosts with great suggestions and a wide variety of bikes.

We had an absolute blast on our self guided bike tour yesterday:) thank you to owners Greg and Lorelle for providing an organized and fun day. With the help from the maps provided we managed to hit 6 wineries including a delicious lunch at Allen Scott. My husband and I chose the tandem bike resulting in a lot of laughs. We appreciated being picked up from our villa and dropped off after the tour. Thank you drivers Pam and Greg for the great conversation and safe driving. Overall I highly recommend choosing this tour- an absolute highlight! Thank you!

Really enjoyed our day on the bikes. Initially I thought 6hrs was a little too long, but that wasn't the case at all. Once we took the bikes back at 4pm, we did another winery on foot.

The bikes were well fitted, comfortable, well maintained and we were given a great map to choose our own adventure. Pam was wonderful and helped up with winery suggestions and even dinner suggestions afterwards. Thank you for the wonderful experience and service. Highly recommend without reservation.
