Roussillon
Free time in the village famous for the red ochre. Stop in Roussillon depending of the flowering stage of lavender (from 06/06 to 10/07).

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Sam, grew up in the area and knew it like the back of his hand. The places he took us to were in full bloom and gave us a wonderful sense of the world of lavender. This was a bucket list thing, so put a check mark on that.

3.00I expected a little more connection to the lavender fields on this tour, but it was really just a tour of Provence, with two lavender field stops, one including the lavender shop at the Abbey. Expected that we would be taken to a lavender plantation where we could buy high quality lavender products. Our guide was very lovely, but some commentary along the way would have been nice. I did appreciate the market stop in L'Isle sur la Sorge and the ice-cream recommendation in Roussillon.
