Chateauneuf-du-Pape
The AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an internationally famous wine. An exceptional region The Châteauneuf-du-Pape region enjoys a wide range of soils, and particularly large rolled pebbles (diluvium alpin) above red clay, allowing the grapes to reach a very high degree of maturity. Well aware of the value of their heritage, the winemakers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape have committed themselves over the past few years to an approach aiming at defining and reinforcing the identity of their appellation, particularly through the different local areas and the diversity of grape varieties.

5.00Fantastic 1/2 day of wine tasting….Natalie transported us in a comfortable van to 3 wine tastings. Natalie was knowledgeable and thorough…I can’t believe how much we fit into an afternoon, but we never felt rushed.

5.00We travelled to three vineyards in the chateau nef du pap region with our guide Natalie who was the most gracious and knowledgeable guide. I’m each location we were received with gracious hospitality great wine and wisdom. We left better understanding French wines and worth several bottles we will continue to enjoy on our journey.

5.00Our driver/guide, Ann, is very knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were a great assortment of large(ish), medium and boutique winery. The staff/owners at the wineries were welcoming and personable. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ann for a lovely day.

5.00I had a great time with Nathalie. She was quite knowledgeable about the region and wine, and kind and a good driver! The wines were all fantastic. It would be great if there were tastings that showcased the amazing views / vineyards of the region but I realize most are inside. Will return!

2.00Our tour guide was really great & knowledgeable but the positives end there. What was supposed to be a 5 hour excursion was under 4 hours, and we only went to 2 tastings (it was supposed to be 3). We spent 75% of the time in the car. Also the tastings were super quick and we were standing the whole time. Would have been nice to sit down and enjoy several wines - which even could have encouraged more purchases. Was disappointed here and felt like a waste of time & money.

5.00This was an afternoon wine tasting tour from Avignon; Anne was our driver and guide for the afternoon. We visited three different vineyards, all very different but very interesting and enjoyable! Anne was very knowledgeable about the vineyards and how the different wines were produced. We also stopped for some photo opportunities in the stunning surroundings of Châteauuneuf du Pape. A great way to spend the afternoon! Would highly recommend.

4.00This 1/2 wine tour started at 2:40 and returned to the meeting spot at 7:15. The guide Ana is friendly and knowledgeable. The ride in the mini van comfortably seated six adults. The first stop was a nice tasting room. I think we got behind at this first stop. The host was good and provided history of his wine. The second stop was probably my favorite. It’s a tasting room in an old cellar of a mostly bombed out castle. They don’t produce wine, they curate their own region’s wines. I felt like the host had to rush a little, which is when I realized that we were probably running late for her stop. The third stop was at a small one man wine maker. It was very interesting to see his operation. The guide stopped several times to provide photo opportunities for us. All in all, it was a good day. I think three wine tastings is feasible, but am not sure we needed five varieties at the first two stops. I am giving four stars instead of five because I did sense the second and third stops were late and rushed, evidenced by the hosts rushing a little. I do recommend this tour and would do it again!
