Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.

Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Lake McKenzie
Enjoy a revitalising swim in the crystal blue waters and relax on the sandy white beaches… it’s picture perfect!
Seventy-Five Mile Beach
As you drive along this sandy highway, you may spot birds of prey flying above or humpback whales as they migrate past (between July – November). You may wish to join the Air Fraser team for a scenic flight over the island - book with your guide on tour (optional extra).

5.00A perfect way to explore K’gari on the Beauty Spots tour. We were fortunate to have the only female driver/guide Taylah! Taylah was amazing from start to finish and explained everything about K’gari so eloquently and made you want to listen to her stories. Highly recommend as a must do on a stay at Kingsisher Bay Resort or a day tour from Hervey Bay.

5.00Full day of activities with the very knowledgeable Steve. He was an excellent driver and guide. The 4WD experience was really different. Day ended with a swim in the beautiful McKenzie lake.

5.00First time experience visiting Hervey Bay and booked a day trip to K'gari with K'gari Explorer Tours. Even though the weather was slightly wet, the tour was excellent- saw the 75mile beach, Mehino Shipwreck, Eli Creek, Central Station (experienced rain in the rainforest) and the gorgeous Lake Mckenzie! Our tour guide Taylah navigated the tricky terrain very smoothly and gave us insightful trivia about the island. The Rain did not stop us seeing the beauty of K'gari. It is called Paradise Island for a reason! One of the best experiences of my life. Will definitely do it again on a sunny day!

5.00We had an amazing one-day trip to K’gari Island, and a huge part of that was thanks to our driver and guide, David. His 4WD driving skills were fantastic — navigating forest tracks and beach driving with ease and confidence, which made us feel very safe the whole time. David’s enthusiasm for K’gari is infectious. He knows every tree, every corner of the island, and was always keen to share fascinating stories and history about the place. You can really feel his love and respect for the island. A special mention as well: while we were enjoying a swim at Lake McKenzie, David was busy cleaning the bus for us — such a thoughtful and professional touch. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour, especially with David as your guide!
