Very easy going and informative introduction to the rebuilding of Napier in the art deco style. The event started with a film about Napier both before, during and after the earthquake. We then were taken on an easy 1 hour walking tour of the city. Napier art deco centre has excellent parking facilities all round, it cost us about $6nz to park for 3 hours. The staff were very knowledgeable and informative and we would definitely recommend this tour.

Great to hear about the history of Napier and to see the different architectural styles of the 30s. Our guide was excellent and the pace leisurely.

The trip around the Art Deco town was preceded by an excellent film about the devastating earthquake and the subsequent rebuilding. Despite very heavy rain the walk was interesting and the guide very informative

An informative tour with lots of great history along the way. Had an ear piece to help hear in a larger group/busy town centre and a knowledgeable tour guide!

We find the history of the city very interesting. Our guide was very friendly and showed us the whole city center explaining each of the buildings we passed.

This was a nice informative tour that began with a short video to explain why the city had to rebuild. Nice stroll around the blocks to see different Art Deco style buildings. Was a value at $20 each.

Napier is a quaint town with fun buildings in art deco theme. The walking tour was fine not great; nothing to do with guide as she was wonderful but all we did is go down street and back up another. They sure had a lot people going on them though. My suggestion would be however to have better instructions from cruise bus. Need to allow some extra time to find the meeting building. It is all the way on opposite side of town where buses drop you.

Great tour, starting with an informative film, then a tour of key buidlings, pointing out the various styles etc. Relaxed pace & made to feel very welcomed. It would not have been as good walking around by ourselves! And check out the Art Deco styled water they sell in the shop - a real bit of touristy fun :)
