Our day started by meeting our guide Tania when she picked us up from our accomodation. Tania was super knowledgeable of not only our stops, the history of the area, but of the wildlife (other guides referred to her on questions re: the birds) We were lucky enough to see a Weka, and a number of Kea’s. The cruise itself was stunning and the picnic lunch provided delicious (with food challenges provided for), a great day out

A great day, with our lovely guide Allan who was very knowledgeable, friendly and great to be around. The boat ride in Milford Sound was impressive and had interesting commentary from the captain.

We had an amazing experience with Fiordland Tours to Milford Sound. Being picked up right in front of our Airbnb was such a convenient and stress-free start to the day. Andy was our guide, and he was absolutely wonderful—so knowledgeable and engaging throughout the tour. I learned so much about the animals and ecosystem of New Zealand, and I carried that knowledge with me throughout the rest of our travels. It was so fun later on our drives to spot things and say, “I know what that is!” We had plenty of scenic stops along the way, and Andy was always available to answer our questions and share his knowledge. He even hunted down a kea for us, which was such a highlight! What a fantastic tour overall. We especially loved that it was a small group—it made the experience feel much more personal and relaxed. Highly recommend Fiordland Tours! Oh, and the packed lunch we received was delicious!

We were a family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We were picked up promptly and our trip to Milford and back was interesting with Steve our tour guide. We had several stops there and back, the commentary was very good. The Marian Falls on the way back were impressive. The lunch was appetising. the ferry trip was well paced and gave us good views - we had a fine day.

Brilliant tour! Reasonably small group , well organised. Drivers/Guido are local and know where to stop depending on weather, sights etc. Our guide Stephen was an excellent driver, knew and could tell about the area and was so entertaining and welcoming! He offered a helicopter tour back as the weather allowed for an extra price (not selling it or pushing in any way). You get breakfast stop for coffee/tea and pastries and a very good lunch packet for the boat. All from local businesses. Also you get out a smaller (still big for me) local boat. As solo traveller I am a little reluctant to join tours sometimes but Stephen made everyone feel welcome (families, solos, old, young). He gave some great tipps for what to do in the area. Was a great day, would do it again!
