McCaffrey’s Estate is family owned, operated and one of the smaller producers in the Hunter Valley creating premium, handcrafted wines. The vineyard consists of 11 acres under vine and produces a variety of wines including, Sparkling, Semillon, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Rosé, Merlot Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz & Fortified Wine

McCaffrey's Estate wines are grown exclusively on the family owned and operated vineyard and the wines are not available in bottle shops. Sit back and relax as we share with you tales of the Hunter Valley and life amongst the vines. Learn how to swirl, sniff and sip your wines along with some interesting food pairing suggestions for the wines you taste.

Everything was great, customer service was second to none, great hospitality, place is clean and tidy, toilet facilities available. Declan was such a great person to know with great expertise in the wine industry. All wines were delicious with a unique taste. I would have preferred if there was more variety of cheese to taste, but overall highly recommended.

Great selection of wine. The place felt very welcoming and friendly. The owner was very friendly and answered any and all the questions we had thoroughly. Great experience, would love to come here again and try out some of the other experiences available.

McCaffrey's Estate Winery have a Wine Club named "Convivial" and that is such an apt description of the reception and experience you will receive the moment you arrive at the cellar door. Danielle and Declan, who own the family business, are just delightful people. They have a wonderful knowledge of wine-making and many enchanting stories of how some of the wines are named. Wines!!! Well from vivacious Verdhelo to a superb Sharaz the range of wines is superb and all of them very special. We have just enjoyed a wine tasting with Declan at the helm and inevitably walked out with a box of wine. The cheese from Hunter Belle that accompanied the wine was perfectly matched too! We have been members, convivial naturally, for a year and we are really looking forward to the "Winemaker for a Day" experience. There are so many wineries in the Hunter Valley and now, as locals, we are trying to find our favourites. McCaffrey's is right at the top of our list and you should make sure that you make time for a visit. I promise that you will be delighted with the wine and the experience.

The McCaffrey wine and cheese tasting was excellent. It was very good value compared to some other well known wine companies which charge more and don't offer generous servings of high quality locally made cheeses. I learnt so much from Declan (owner), like the 'nose' of a wine, and I can now appreciate how drinking and eating food enhances the flavour and smoothness of wines. Declan explained how different processes of grapes affect the wine produced. I really appreciated Declan answering my questions as I'm a wine novice. He happily shared his knowledge. Whilst I tasted many of McCaffreys wines he's changed my view on Verdelho's. Their Verdelho's is great!
