What To Expect
This is so much more than epic ziplines! You'll fly on six ziplines of different lengths - the longest is a 400m tandem zipline, where you can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. Around you is a unique forest with 1,000-year-old trees, lush ferns, and plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. Soak up big New Zealand scenery from massive suspended swing bridges, up a spiral staircase, across a one-of-a-kind floating staircase, and along a volcanic walkway 50 m above the valley - there’s nothing else like it. Stay in the treetops on platforms set around giant trunks, spotting rare native birds. The forest is exclusive to Canopy Tours, so your small group is fully immersed and looked after by our legendary superhero guides. 5.00We had such an amazing time doing the Ultimate Zipline! Gorgeous scenery. Learning about the conservation Rotorua Canopy Tours does in the area was also lovely to hear. Ticayla and Mason were super fun guides and made everything feel less scary for those of us who were a bit nervous at first. Would absolutely do this again.

5.00An absolutely unforgettable and must-do experience in Rotorua! You need to experience it to fully appreciate the beauty of the forest and the magnitude of the zip lines. Our guides, Sophia & Dylan added to the experience with their expertise, knowledge and humor. The small size group made it that much more personal as well. 3 hours of fun and a lifetime of memories.

5.00Rotorua Canopy Tours was easily one of the absolute highlights of our trip. The zip lining was exhilarating—fast, incredibly smooth, and feeling very safe the whole time. It’s such a unique way to experience the forest and without question one of the best things we did while visiting Rotorua. A huge shout‑out to our guides, Matt and Lachy, who were outstanding. They were friendly, fun, reassuring, and really engaging throughout the entire experience, which made everything even more enjoyable—especially for anyone feeling a bit nervous at the start. We also loved learning about the company’s involvement in local conservation and the important work they do to protect and restore the native forest and wildlife. It added a real sense of purpose to the adventure and made the experience even more meaningful. An unforgettable, world‑class experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

5.00It went far beyond my expectations. Flying through the canopy, and above the canopy, was extremely special. The Guides (Olly Thomas and Jasmine) brought extreme professionalism balanced with humour and an authentic style. They managed everyone’s nerves beautifully. Encouragement was given when needed and help was always on hand. My highlight was the 400 m racing my daughter! As an activity with the family it was one never to be forgotten.

5.00What an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone who finds themselves in Rotorua. The tour was so much fun, so thrilling and so very beautiful. Here you are immersed in the native wildlife. I don’t think you could get any closer with nature when flying through the treetops of Redwood forest. Even if you’re not a fan of heights or adventurous activities, just do it because it is such a unique experience- and when you do this, you’ll understand why it’s been given New Zealand’s #1 activity award! I myself am someone who doesn’t like rollercoasters or adrenaline filled activities, but this was so much fun, I’ll be doing it every time I’m passing through. Our tour guides; Ange & Ticayla were fantastic. Both very funny characters made our experience extra memorable. Safety was their top priority, whilst ensuring everyone was having a great time. Loved learning about the local nature and seeing the famous blue mushrooms! Thank you Ange & Ticayla, we still owe you an ice cream! 🍦🫶🏼

5.00This magical experience was so much fun! Ziplining high above the forest and through the lush trees was breathtaking. It was a truly immersive adventure. Our guides Mason & Sophia were brilliant, so fun & friendly, but also full of knowledge & were able to answer all our questions. They kept us safe & secure at all times, and really helped everyone enjoy themselves. The real bonus was learning all the amazing conservation work Rotorua Canopy Tours are doing, and what a beautiful difference they are making in this forest. Couldn't recommend this tour more!
