Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.
Royal Palace
The Royal Palace is one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks. The construction began in 1886 after King Norodom relocated the royal capital to Phnom Penh and was completed before World War I. Up until today, the palace is the primary residence of The King of Cambodia.

I went solo, so the experience was really personal. My guide was a local lad who could tell the details about every little thing we passed, he had some personal stories when it came to his relatives regarding the Pol Pot years, really interesting. The lunch spot was good too, along with the transport which was a nice car. Walked away feeling like I gained a good understanding of the city, you dont get that when you just do it on your own. Recomended, for sure.

Phnom Penh Private City tour and Killing Fields. Outstanding guide. We were guided by Sam Ang, a former schoolteacher who provided outstanding insights and information throughout the tour. Our driver was excellent and the pace and timing of the visit to each site was just right. The visit to the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum were very thought provoking and Mr Ang's description of the recent bloody history of his country was deeply thought-provoking. In complete contrast our tour of The Royal Palace and the Wats of central Pnom Penh was full of beauty, peace and tranquility. A very full programme also included an excellent lunch and a visit to the astonishing Central Market. I thoroughly recommend this tour to others, especially if Mr Sam is leading the trip.

The Phnom Penh full day tour was excellent. Our guide Mr Sam Ang was very knowledgeable. He also re-scheduled some of the tour so that we still got to see everything but missed the crowds. Our driver Mr Mon was fantastic. The Killing Fields and S21 are harrowing but definitely worth visiting. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Me and my wife had the opportunity to be taken for a day long tour of the city sights in Pnhom phen by our guide and cab driver. They religiously carried out their task with dedication and showed us all the listed places painstakingly, explaining in detail all the sights till we were totally satisfied. Kudos to them both.

We had a great day visiting the sites of Phnom Penh, our guide Koem was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job and his country we visited the royal palace, silver pakoda and central market. We also visited Tuol sleng genocide museum and the killing fields, which I found to be moving, frightening and disgusting that this atrocity occurred in my lifetime.
