Multiple stops that were very interesting. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Would definitely recommend (especially the platform seating). Dress for being outside at night!!!

Great trip to see koalas and penguins. Also saw echidna at koala sanctuary. If you can afford premium plus viewing at penguin parade it’s worth it as they walk up right in front of you and there are chicks in burrows there too. Get there early for seats at front.

Simply put: I would hire a car and driver rather than take this tour. The advertisement was a bit deceptive. The bus (coach) was not small - it was 41 passengers. The seats were small and uncomfortable for that long a journey. The PA system in the bus did not work well. The driver often just spoke without the PA — resulting in only the first 3 rows of people actually hearing him. The supposed "knowledgable guide" at the Nature Preserve was only the driver with no real knowledge. And, it really was not a nature preserve — it was a Koala pen with 5 captive Koala’s. However, the penguins were really great. Paying for the Penguins Plus ticket was the only action for which real value was received. Again; hire a car and driver or spend the night near the island — the bus is a painful way to spend a day.

Was a long day but well worth it. Koalas, Wallabies and Blue Penguins were amazing to see in their environments

Both the Koala Conservation Center and Penguin Parade with PLUS were absolutely wonderful, The koalas were quite active and up-close right next to the viewing platforms for some great pics/vids. As for the Penguin Parade, we were able to see them up close as well with the penguins walking right in front of us. Our driver Joel was very friendly. Only issue was with the bus microphone whiz was a bit difficult to understand at times. But the bus was comfortable on the long drive.

Had a great time yesterday on the tour. We got a good amount of time to see each of the stops and everything ran to schedule. Our favourite part of course was the Penguin Parade.

I’m giving the overall experience a 3. It was great to see the Penguins. The tour operator did an OK job. However, he didn’t use the microphone when he was speaking much of the time, so people in the back of the bus could not hear him. The stop at the koala reserve was only for one hour. That was fine, but the tour guide took up 20 minutes of that time talking. We saw many koalas and enjoyed the place in the time that we had there. We stopped in Cowes for dinner, which was nice, but we arrived at the Nobbies too early to see any wildlife. The most disappointing part of the trip was that we departed the penguin parade at 10:15 PM. The Penguins didn’t come in till almost 9:00 PM to 9:20 PM and we didn’t get to see much of the parade at the boardwalk because we had to leave by 10:00 PM to make it to the bus. The penguins were just starting to come in large bunches and we would’ve been able to see many of them, but that was not afforded to us because we had to leave so soon after they started to move forward. I wouldn’t do this tour again. I’ve been on other tours that were much better to Philip Island with ample time to see the penguins. Joel was only ok as a tour guide. Overall, this tour was not the best value for the amount paid.

The bus ride was long and got longer as the driver made a wrong turn and had to backtrack losing an hour. The koala visit was nothing special. The penguin parade was delayed because of the tide schedule and we sat for 3 hours waiting with the temperature around 8-10 degrees and although we were well bundled up, we nearly froze. The plus viewing was not worth it as you could not see that well. Viewing the little penguins from the walking ramp down to the viewing area was much better and closer for viewing their walk up to their homes. To us it appeared that they were trying to accommodate too many people for the venue. They might consider limiting the number of people but I guess money is more important. It was fun but not exactly what we expected.
