• Lily and Morning ..the stars of Signature Royal Cruise

  We are not habitually 'cruise" types but this is one we simply could not miss as it is the best way to enjoy the scenic views of Halong and Baitulong karsts. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience and were very well looked after by our hosts Lily and Morning as well as other crew members. Our senior cabin on the second deck was tastefully decorated and contained everything needed - just like a hotel on water. We even managed to enjoy the private jacuzzi bath and enjoy morning coffee from our room's private balcony. We skipped the first day kayak tour to stay behind and just enjoy the boat and the views. Lily and morning were very attentive and engaging, wearing many different hats during this cruise. There was a variety Vietnamese food to be sampled and even though the food wasn't quite right for our hot and spicy Thai palettes, the food was fresh and sufficient. The only things that need inproving are port side related and perhaps out of Athena group's control but need mentioning: the waiting area has an unpleasant drainage smell and it might be an idea to each have a separate area for arrivals and departures so that it feels less like a cattle market and more in line with the 'royal' cruise experience projected. Also, the shuttle transfers out of Halong could be better streamlined so that guests are not waiting too long. On reflection, it may have been better to book the 3D2N cruise as ut felt that the cruise part of the trip was quite short really due to the other activities involved. We enjoyed making and devouring the spring rolls and Lily was an excellent instructor, guide, child minder,host, organiser..all in one! • A Highlight of our Vietnam Trip

  We booked the 2 Day / 1 Night trip to Hai Tu Long Bay and it was wonderful. We stayed in a Signature Senior Suite, and are glad we upgraded. The room and the balcony were fabulous. The bed and pillows were comfortable as was the bathroom. The food on the cruise was excellent, although my husband and several of the other larger men would have liked the option of ordering more. We had to pay for beverages [even non- alcoholic] the first day which we thought was odd. The second day coffee and juice were included. The cruise out to Hai Tu Long Bay was definitely worth the money. It was just lovely. The activities were all fun. We really appreciated that we were the first group to tour the cave in the morning. The entire staff on the boat was great. Our tour leader – Mr Morning – was exceptional. He was friendly, funny and willing to answer our questions about Vietnam. Make sure to book your transportation from Hanoi when you book the cruise to make the trip seamless. The cruise port in Ha Long Bay is a madhouse, and being able to sit in the private lounge was appreciated. We highly recommend Signature Cruises.

  We were greeded by Lilly when arriving at the port. She was very kind and helpful and she also joined us at the cruise which felt very comforting😍 We decided the Bai Tu Long bay for a more quiet experience. And it did not disappoint. Signature Royal Cruise is the cruise company to choose for a well planned and safe cruise. The tours from the boat was very balanced and well executed by Morning and by Lilly. We did not feel rushed and there was enough time to relax on the boat. Morning and Lilly were both proficient in English. Lilly particularly was a delight to talk to.

  It was worth the price we paid and the staff member were so helpful and friendly. One of the staff member Lily was absolutely cute, kind and caring.Loved the way she treated us and was there for us every time we needed something. Enjoyed a lot .
