Encounter real mountain flying and marvel at the most remarkable snow-capped mountains and glaciers onboard our fixed-wing aircraft. Your knowledgeable, highly skilled local pilot providing interesting and informative commentary. Flying across the Southern Alps, out to the West Coast and the Tasman Sea before flying through the Fiord itself to land in Milford Sound.
Once in Milford, your pilot will accompany you to the boat terminal. Discover the natural wonders of Milford Sound aboard your cruise vessel with open-air viewing decks, a perfect location for some wildlife spotting. The Fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins, who love playing in the wake of the boat. You will cruise the length of the Fiord out to the Tasman Sea with a pass under Sterling Falls on the return.

What To Expect
Milford Sound
Once in Milford Sound, your pilot will accompany you from the airport to the boat terminal. Everything is organised for you, you don't have to worry about a thing! Step on board your cruise lasting at least 1hr 45mins, you will travel the length of the Fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. Stopping at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, if you're lucky you'll also get to experience the local wildlife - the dolphins love playing in the wake of the boat!

5.00It was an absolutely lovely trip and so glad that we opted to do the flight instead of the tour bus. The views from the flight were amazing and it was the most time efficient route. The boat tour itself was breathtaking as well, would highly recommend splurging on this adventure.

5.00Great plane ride with very knowledgeable pilot. Joseph made a smooth landing after flying us from Milford Sound. We appreciated his constant pointing out of highlights during our 40 minute flight. Very efficient ground staff that directed us to our van ride to our hotel. So worth seeing the Sound from the air to understand its uniqueness and grandeur!

5.00Had a great trip from start to finish. Bus driver Ivan was super friendly and shared his knowledge along the drive to the airport. I was fortunate enough to co-pilot with Ben who was lovely and it was really interesting watching him fly. He pointed out all the landmarks along the way with a smile. We saw a pod of dolphins and a few fur seals on the cruise which also has great commentary along the way. Definitely recommend this tour, you get so many sights in just a half day trip which is handy if you're short on time. Thanks Ben & Ivan!
