Explore picturesque medieval villages deep in the Provençal countryside on this tour through the Luberon region from Marseille. Travel by minivan with your guide to the Luberon villages of Lourmarin, Gordes (photo stop only) and Roussillon. Wander through the bustling open-air markets (depends of the day of the week) and perhaps browse the stalls for souvenirs. Learn how lavender — the symbol of Provence — is transformed into luxurious essential oils and beauty products and, from mid-June to mid-July, make a photo stop at Sénanque Abbey to admire Provence’s beautiful lavender fields in full bloom.

5.00We joined a tour that visited some of the most iconic and charming villages in Provence. Given my lack of familiarity with the area, we found it challenging to navigate on my own, especially with unexpected road closures due to construction and the difficulty of finding parking in these small villages. This guided tour was a great choice. It allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of Provence without any hassle. It was an enriching day that gave us a deep understanding of the region.

5.00We had an excellent tour! The pick up location was easy to find and our guide/driver Caroline met us at least 15 minutes beforehand. We were given interesting information on the 4 villages were visited, they were all charming and had their own distinctive features. We were only five people so it was great not to be overcrowded! The tour timing was perfect too, we had the enough free time in each village.
