5.00It is a wonderful tour. The Chateaus and gardens are great. The tour of their family owned and dug wine caves at the first, smaller winery was fascinating. Our guide Dimitri was knowledgeable and personable, I highly recommend.

5.00Very relaxing tour with wonderful guide Alex. The wine stops, one at cave were, were very interesting and complete with a selection of beautiful French wines that represent the area. The gardens at Villandry were nothing short of stunning

3.00We enjoyed visiting a castle and garden in the morning. Our guide was very nice but very new, trying to find her groove. The afternoon was wine tasting at two locations and disappointing experience. The first stop was a tasting room, no explanation of the wine other than white/red or stronger in taste. The second stop to a wine maker was better, but only provided white wines. We were forced to stand for both tastings. This was a poor value with limited information.

5.00We lucked out and had our amazing guide from the previous day, Marion, lead us on this tour as well. We loved her personality as well as her scholastic and personal knowledge of the area. It was a rather rainy day so we didn’t appreciate the gardens as much as we would have on a sunny day, but the castles were still wonderful to visit. Our finally winery stop planned tour was altered slightly because of the rain, but it meant we had more time inside talking with the owner which we greatly enjoyed.

5.00We had a fantastic time and were lucky enough to go on 2 tours with Marion who was so informative, sweet and such a great tour leader! I would highly recommend this company and her as a guide! We hope to go back again to try see of the other tours. Such a wonderful experience!

5.00The guided tour exceeded my expectations because, in addition to the presentation of the history of the two castles, with an emphasis on Azay le Rideau castle, our guide, Sophie, knew how to keep the conversation alive in the minibus, between locations, presenting a lot of information, from past and present, about the places we passed by. My travel companions (we were 5 in the minibus), helped the conversation a lot, asking interesting questions to which Sophie answered prompty and humorously. The wine tasting at Vouvray, 7 sortiments, was preceded by a guided tour of the cave, led by a member of the family that owns the place, guide the explained the entire production process from grapes harvesting to the actual wine. It turned out to be a marvelous day for me for which I am grateful to my vivacious travel companions and, especially, to Sophie, which was the perfect guide.

5.00Sophie was an incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining guide who brought Château Azay le Rideau to life, and provided not only interesting background to Villandry but the Loire Valley in general. After a very interesting wine tour in Vouvray, we were treated to a bonus wine tour in Amboise. Both were entertaining and the wine tasting generous. Overall a wonderful day. Thank you Sophie!
