This daytour from adelaide was a great day. Yes it was a long day but gave an overview of the main attractions. It never felt rushed and this was due to our guide Hamish. He gave clear instructions as to what to expect as well as his vast knowkedge of the island in general and its wildlife in particular. Well done Hamish and Sealink .Virginia Woodward

Our bus driver/ tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Kangaroo Island..with a great sense of humour. We did cover a lot of ground..so at times it felt a little rushed. Lunch provided was disappointing & no stop off for dinner ..just a trip to the local supermarket..after an email I sent regarding this & was told there would be time for dinner. Also when rang sealink to confirm my pickup from the hotel ..they couldn’t find my booking..I waited about 20 mins until it was sorted. Kangaroo Island is spectacular to say the least ..however the tour needs to sort out a few things before a 10..out of 10.

Total trip is 16 hours. A very long day and the majority of your time is spent on an uncomfortable bus with very tight seats. They offer you no water the entire day. Mediocre lunch and no dinner at all. Just a 10-minute stop at the grocery store for you to quote. Pick up some snacks" the sites in kangaroo Island are simply not worth a 16-hour experience. Bus ride home was horrible, packed and dropping off numerous people ,not on our tour, at various locations. Not worth the money. Not worth the time. . .

I really enjoyed this tour. Richard, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and communicated extremely well. We were given plenty of notice regarding availability of food, water, and toilets as well as honest explanations of the physical ability required for different aspects of each stop. While it is a long day, I thought it was well worth the trip!

The place is beautiful but you leave quickly and there is not too much time to calmly appreciate everything as it takes about 3 and a half hours to reach the island and the Tour is a day. The very good organization

This tour sees you transfer from Adelaide via Sealink Connect bus service from Adelaide, ferry across to Penneshaw and then join the one day coach tour of Kangaroo Island. On the island our coach driver and host Will kept us informed and entertained with local stories. The seal colony visit was followed by an excellent lunch. We then we visited the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before returning for a wildlife encounter. The return ferry and return to Adelaide made for a long day - we arrived back about 11pm. I would suggest the two day option if you have the time and stay on the Island. Don’t underestimate the 18km Ferry ride each way - I suspect this could get very rough. Overall a lot of fun.

We had a fabulous day which was worth the early start. The scenery on the island is fantastic. Loved the remarkable rocks and all the wildlife, especially the sea lions and fur seals. Ironically we did not see any kangaroos in the wild on kangaroo island but there were lots at the wildlife sanctuary and you were able to feed them. Overall a long and tiring day, but well worth it.

We had a wonderful time seeing the sights of Kangaroo Island, especially loved feeding the kangaroos and petting the koalas!! Our lunch was delicious and the coach bus rides were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this experience when you are in Australia.

Visiting Australia to see my daughter, we took a trip to Adelaide and booked the Kangeroo Island Full Day Experience by Ferry Including Lunch. We paid $378 and understood the trip would last 16 hours. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. There are many positive reviews on your site and no negative ones, which is surprising to us. Perhaps you do not publish the poor reviews. Our dismay at the length of time we were on the coach, in comparison to the length of time at attractions, was paramount. We understood that it would take 3 hours to get to the island by coach and ferry, and that another coach would meet us off the ferry to transport us around the island. What we hadn’t bargained for was the fact that we were expected to be on the coach for 6 hours and only at the attractions for a maximum of 3 hours. This is an extremely poor ratio and definitely not value for money. The first stop, at the seal sanctuary, was for only 20 minutes. Then lunch (45 minutes), which was tasty but certainly not filling enough to last all day. A chicken salad and a manufactured cheesecake! We weren’t even provided with a drink – had to purchase our own. We were then driven to two free tourist attractions to explore and take photos, allowed a maximum of 35 and 40 minutes respectively at these sites. Finally, we arrived at the highlight of our trip: the wildlife sanctuary, only to be told by both the driver and the wildlife employee that we had 30 minutes. In the end we were permitted 40 minutes which was nowhere near long enough to enjoy the wonderful wildlife. We could have spent two hours or more there and were so disillusioned that the visit was cut short. It beggars’ belief that you feel you can charge $378 for such a small reward. You should certainly be warning people before they part with their hard-earned cash, that the trip ratio is so weighted to sitting in a cramped coach all day, being lectured about things you cannot see. I would not recommend this trip unless you are happy to sit on a coach all day, with the occasional break to explore the island’s attractions.
