Captain Jack provides a remarkable view of the waters and life of a beautiful area. His knowledge of the bird life, in particular, was fascinating (we were greeted aboard by several of his pelican friends). He also gave us not only tea and damper, but also special local tastes - strawberries drizzled with his family’s honey, oysters from the farm we boated past, for example. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the history of the area is remarkable.

Off the usual tourist tour with local naturalist who shows you the real scenery, wildlife, and intertwined local lore. Lots of scenery and wildlife and the guide, Jack, has a special relationship with seabirds that's awesome. Mark and Renuka

My Children and I had a fantastic day on the Kalgan Queen this morning. We highly recommend this unique & fabulous river cruise. Our guild/owner was so knowledgeable re the Albany birdlife and town history. We tried local Oysters, strawberry’s damper, and tea or coffee. As Molly says do yourself a favour and cruise the river on the Kalgan Queen.

A most enjoyable 4 hours trip, knowledgable captain Jack ( including the corny jokes ) during the trip we saw Osprey’s and Sea Eagles taking fish along with Perch the Pelican who has adopted Jack and jumps onboard to greet one and all. Enjoyed the oyster and strawberries with tea and special extras. Captain Jack keeps you entertained throughout the trip with his local knowledge and poem about life. Throughly recommend this as a must do trip when visiting Albany

This tour is a must when in Albany. This is our second time being entertained and informed by Jack. He has a wealth of local and random knowledge and offers a great value for money experience. Our British relatives loved it
