Snorkeling is the easiest way to experience the reef or try an introductory dive, no experience required. For the advanced divers, certified diving is available. Let Calypso take you to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef and explore the rich and diverse coral gardens.

Environmental Management Charge of $7.00 per person is included in the fare from 1st July 2023

Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor

Additional dives may be booked and paid for on board (subject to availability). Maximum of three dives in a day.

Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted to dive.

Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive

Children must be accompanied by an adult

If its raining on your day of travel, the tour will still go ahead. If Calypso cancels due to poor weather, mainly high winds, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Cancellation fees may apply if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to departure

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Cruise & 1 Introductory Dive

Cruise & 1 intro dive. No experience required. All snorkel/dive equipment, morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea included. Minimum age for diving is 12 yrs

Cruise & 1 Certified Dive

Cruise & 1 cert dive with a PADI dive master. All snorkel/dive equipment, morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea included. Certification cards are required.

Cruise & Snorkelling Only

Cruise including snorkeling and all necessary equipment will be provided. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Wonderful diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Three different dive sites, small diving groups, all equipment provided. Coral and fish life very diverse, and a bonus visit from a turtle. Staff very helpful and friendly and put on a nice lunch. Would recommend this trip.

Great trip, beautiful day and very calm sea. Friendly crew. I did snorkeling. The reef was beautiful and it was much more informative with the guide. We were at 3 very similar reef locations, and the first one was without instructor, which I prefer less. The equipment was good. The food is there but not a highlight. There was a photogapher but she didn't capture any good image of me personally, although some pictures of other people were nice.

My husband and I had a great day out on the Calypso boat. We had a lovely ride out to the first spot sat in the sun at the back of the boat. We had 3 spots to go Snorkeling at. They were all great and easy to navigate. And you definitely had plenty of time at each stop. Never felt rushed. Lunch was really nice. And at stops 1 and 3 tea and biscuits were provided. We never felt like the boat was over crowded. And all the staff were great. And we enjoyed the educational talk between stops by one of the girls. Helped to understand the reef a bit better. We would definitely reccomend this as a great day out to see the Great Barrier reef.

Fantastic day trip. Staff were super friendly and made the whole day so much fun. Took us to 3 great snorkeling spots. Food was delicious and fresh too!

Amazing tour. we have snorkled all over the world but this has to ne one of the best snorkling experiences EVER. saw so many fish, coral and even a shark. the staff were great and very experienced. lunch was great 100% would do again

Amazing trip, the boat was easy to move around and the crew were all great. We had 3 stops at different reefs, all different and all incredible. Lunch was excellent and plenty for everyone. Preferred this boat to others as there were only approx 50 people on board. Could not rate this higher and definitely recommend.
