We adored our food tour around Brooklyn with Brian! He’s such a brilliant guide, I swear he could answer any question about Brooklyn and NYC. And my gosh, the food he chose!! It was all so delicious, we’re still thinking about those dumplings. It’s so great if you’re up for sampling a multitude of cuisines NYC has to offer! Having never done a tour on any trip ever before, I’ve also learned it’s just so nice to be guided around the area, not having to think about where I’m headed, or plan what I’m eating but getting to see so much. The group we were with was also lovely - a lovely size and so friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, it’s a brilliant way to spend a morning seeing the highlights (and some hidden gems!) of Brooklyn. And I hope next time we’re in NYC we can arrange another tour with Brian!

Great experience of seeing Brooklyn and learning all types of information. Great local food experience. Not a touristy trap. Everything was amazing. I would do this tour again. But wear comfortable walking shoes because you are walking a lot.

The guide was great. The food was good. Not enough food spots. Rather expensive tour for limited foods. Would suggest a historical tour and then find places to eat on your own.

  • Good guide but boring food

Alex was a great guide. He is very informative and knowledgeable, so it made the educational element of the tour very enjoyable. The huge downside was the actual food experience. The samples themselves were quite small and having been on numerous food tours, I am confident to say this one by far provided the smallest portions. Some of the samples provided were only a portion of the offering (e.g., 1/4 of a bagel or a very thin slice of pizza). Understanding the tour is not intended to fill you up like a sit-down meal, but the samples were fairly small. The food itself was mediocre. Again, Alex was great but the food not so much.

Of all the small group tours I have done, this was simply the BEST. Erik was so personable and passionate when telling us about the area and the history , the food was delicious, my favorite was cream cheese bagel. Thank you Intrepid and thank you Erik, such a memorable experience!

This tour was such a highlight of my trip! Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with Erik was unforgettable. His knowledge of the history and architecture was impressive, and he shared fascinating stories that brought the area to life. What really stood out was how relaxed and fun the whole experience felt. Erik was warm, engaging, and clearly loves what he does. The foodie stops were incredible—my favorite was the pizza place. Everything felt authentic and local, and Erik gave great tips for other places to check out later. I left feeling like I’d experienced the real Brooklyn, not just the tourist spots. If you want history, amazing views, and delicious food all in one, this is the tour to book. Thanks, Erik, for making it so special!
