Due to the intense heat experience in the Outback during the summer season we will not travel to Walpa Gorge from December to March.

What To Expect
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Travel to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) where your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment. Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years.
Walpa Gorge
Walpa Gorge walk is a 2.6km (1.6 Mile) return walk. The guide will discuss the geology, flora and fauna that surrounds Kata Tjuta. The walk itself is of moderate difficulty. It is rocky and uneven underfoot.

5.00This tour provided an excellent opportunity to see Kata Tjuta up close. It only went to one site for walking and it's a bit of a climb on uneven ground. If your able, it is worth the walk, and the tour guide was excellent providing lots of background and pointing out things to see.

3.00The sight of Kata Tjuta is impressive. However, the trip disappointed us. The long approach/descent of ~111 km and the short hike into Walpa Gorge could not make up for the sight of the rock formations. It would have been more interesting to drive to various points of the Olgas. Compared to Uluru/ Ayers Rock, this excursion is not recommended.
