Carmel Valley
After Carmel-by-the-Sea we take a scenic drive down Carmel Valley Rd. to the "Village" true to it's name. Here we will sample the wines of one of many fine California vintners whose grapes grow less than 25 miles away.

So glad we chose this particular wine tasting tour - it was just what we were looking for - chill, not rushed and basically a private event because our group filled the 6 seats. Steve was great. We never felt like we were on the clock - I think our tour went over 30 minutes but he never said anything or gave anything but a happy vibe. Of note, all tastings were at tasting rooms off proerty - we never visited a winery. As for the itinerary, it was different than the TripAdvisor description - we had 3 tastings in the valley. Nothing in Carmel or Monterey. It didn't bother us - but if you were counting on a little more site seeing, then you might not be as stoked as we were. Drop Steve a note in the communication portal, he's really responsive. I even put my cell in and asked for a call - he did within 5 minutes. Last, you might want to ask about food. Its not like most other wine tasting trips we've done before in Napa, Sonoma, Amador or Temecula where food options were more common at the wineries. We ended up ordering sandwiches from an adjacent "cafe" at our first stop. It was great - but not all tasting rooms are next to a "cafe". Would highly recommend this adventure.

It was so much fun. The wineries Steve picked were great and the wine was even better. Make sure you gave have a good breakfast or a hardy snack before you go,

My husband and I had a wonderful time touring three tasting rooms with Steve! We were lucky in that we were the only ones on the tour that afternoon. All of the tasting rooms offered local wines, so we decided to join one wine club and ship bottles from the other two. This was a great option (and, voided any tasting fees!) and at each room, we were treated with full descriptions of each offering, as well as the local history of the vinyards. I feel such a better connection with the wine we'll drink back home - so much better than picking labels at a liquor store. We plan to make this an annual experience! Steve's vintage bus is pristine and he is so kind and knowledgeable about the wines in this gorgeous area.

Definitely recommend, we had a great time from pick-up to drop-off. Steve was friendly and shared knowledge of the area and wineries. Each winery had friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would do this again!

A nice ride through wine country. We went to three tasting rooms along the way. Nice that they all had an area set up for our group. It was fun talking wine with the people who actually produce it.

After waiting over one hour for our driver, Steve, we finally contacted Viator, who tried calling him and left him an urgent email. We also left him a voicemail and an email. He never responded so we called Viator again to start the refund process. As we were speaking with the representative, Steve called me. He said the bus had a broken fan belt and that he had been trying to locate one and then realized he had a spare?! At no time did he try and reach out to us. He offered to still take us to two wineries because there was no time to see all three, but we declined. He was going to be another 20 minutes before he could pick us up, so we didn’t want to waste more of our short weekend. He apologized and offered a discount for next time but we will not chance it again. We don’t travel much and when we do, we try to make good use of our time. We understand things happen and we are very reasonable people. The issue here was the lack of communication. He had my cell number and my email…..

We had a great time on the Kombi Wine Tasting Tour. Steve was so knowledgeable and friendly. We never felt rushed and he was flexible when we asked to stop for something to eat. Can’t recommend enough!
