Excellent behind the scenes look of the Opera House! Great to see the people actually setting up props and getting ready for performances. Breakfast at the end is a nice touch.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the opera house history and the workings backstage. We toured each of the theaters while the guide explained how it all works. There are multiple stairs to climb and lots of walking. Our guide was most excellent! Lots of energy and extremely knowledgeable. She was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple and adequate.

This tour exceeded our expectations! Definitely worth the early morning start - there were no crowds so we were able to take some nice photos before the tour. Our guide was very informative and we learned a lot about the opera house and how things work behind the scenes. Really makes you appreciate all that goes into preparing for a show. The breakfast was delicious too!

It would have been nice to see more of the stages, but overall it was an excellent insight to the inner workings of the SOH. Our tour guide was tremendous.

This tour was an absolute delight, and Suanne was a fantastic tour guide! We got to go in the orchestra pit and on the stage of the Joan Sutherland Theatre, have breakfast in the green room, and see several other backstage areas. It was a theatre-lover's dream! Important to note, the description on TripAdvisor is not exactly correct, as there is no light breakfast/coffee served upon arrival, just the full sit-down breakfast at about 8:45am. So plan your morning accordingly! Wonderful tour and can't recommend it enough!!

Fantastic! The perfect way to experience this iconic building - from its very soul, backstage and behind the scenes. Guide Michael did a superb job of keeping us safe, informed and entertained. DO THIS if you can fit it into your visit to one of the world’s greatest cities.
