Choose to visit some of the UNESCO sites such as famous Humble administrator’s garden, Lingering Garden , Master of the Nets garden from different dynasties as well as the local ancient canal streets or ancient city wall ,enjoy a delightful local lunch and get a great overview of the “Ancient Oriental Venice” and “Garden City” with your own guide. Private transportation adds more convenient for the tour.

The Classical Gardens of Suzhou
Your local great guide and the driver will meet you at your place in Suzhou (Your Suzhou Hotel or Suzhou train station if you travel by train). Start to design your own private day with your interests in mind. Following is the sample itinerary, you are welcome to tell your guide if need make any changes during the tour.
Humble Administrator's Garden
Typically, start your tour at the famed Suzhou garden, choose to visit one or two UNESCO gardens such as The Humble Administrator’s garden, Lingering garden, Master of the Nets Garden. Follow your guide to explore the beautiful gardens dotted with ponds, exquisite rockeries, bridges, pavilions, towers. Immerse yourself in the ancient charm while listening the interesting commentary from your guide.

5.00Michelle was punctual and friendly and speaks excellent English. Because of her, we were able to see everything we wanted to see and gain invaluable insight into them. She was full of energy and took so many photos of us 😉 I regret not taking one of her too! She arranged tickets, lunch and the car smoothly and efficiently so that we hardly had to wait. Given our limited time in Suzhou, this was greatly appreciated! I recommend her full heartedly!

5.00Michelle was our tour guide for our family of 3. She is knowledgable, flexible, and introduced the sites with knowledge but gave us plenty of space and time to enjoy the different sites.

5.00Michelle was an incredible tour guide. From start to finish we loved the explanation, the incredible attention and enthusiasm that Michelle showed. The only detail was that we couldn’t go visit the Suzhou Museum which was included in the itinerary (the tour company mentions it’s flexible but they were not specific mentioning that you gotta ask them to actually include it on the itinerary) cuz you have to book the tickets 1 week in advance. Other than that it truly deserves a 5 stars review

5.00We must thank Sunny for arranging this. She arranged for a driver to take us to Suzhou and Hangzhou from Shanghai. The driver was friendly and helpful. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive of the trip, wondering what could one really do in Suzhou though I had been here decades ago. But Sunny suggested that we visit the Suzhou Garden. Our guide was an English speaking Michelle. She not only speaks fluent English but is knowledgeable too. We thoroughly enjoyed our walkabout in the gardens as Michelle took us through each part of it with a wonderful journey of history and learning of this remarkable place. Since then I have been asking Sunny to arrange my other tours around China.

5.00We traveled to Suzhou during the busy Labor Day weekend, so the usual garden tickets were all sold out. Our guide was able to arrange other visits that went well, including Tiger Hill, Panmen Gate, and a river boat ride. The tour guide Michele did a good job with two young kids and helped find us a restaurant even with all the crowds.
