Fantastic tour with fantastic and energetic guide Alex. Got lots of information from native Hong Kong guide. I got lots of informations of Cantonese food but also the life of Hong Kong which is impossible to hear if I haven’t got a chance to meet a native person in that area. That is another reason for me to do a local food tour. We had dimsum, wonton noodle, milk tea, egg tart and chasui pork with rice.(this is done for 4 hours in order) The best thing I liked most was that every items was from the restaurant that mostly locals visits So I can feel the atmosphere of the authentic Hong Kong. I don’t think I can use my short visit in Hong Kong more efficiently than this tour. Thanks Alex…

We had a fantastic 4 hour tour around Sheung Wan with Sinclair. He was very considerate about the dietary limitations of some of the people in our group and the tour gave us an opportunity to go to some great restaurants that we would never visit by ourselves. Highly recommend this!

Our tour guide was amazing! He took us to the most infamous local favorites. We had a great sampling of foods. Andy made sure we got enough at each stop. He also gave us great bathroom ratings and brought us to the best one at the mall. He also gave us the Hong Kong quintessential experiences by taking part of the longest moving walkway and the double decker trolley. He also helped me find a brush and a comb, since it was a lil harder to find and didn't stop until we found one after 4 shops.

We did a walking food tour with Hello! Hong Kong around Sheung Wan, and despite a few unavoidable holiday hiccups, it was still a very worthwhile experience. The tour was a great mix of food, history, and everyday Hong Kong life. We started with a classic yum cha experience and then walked through streets lined with traditional dried seafood, medicinal goods, and other things you don’t understand as a tourist unless someone explains what you’re looking at. Passing through the wet market and seeing the remnants of old tenement housing added real context to how locals have lived and eaten over generations. Food-wise, the variety stood out. From comforting noodle soups and dumplings to BBQ meats, spicy noodles, iced lemon tea, and finally some iconic local bakery treats, it felt like a genuine slice of daily Hong Kong eating rather than a tourist checklist. The walk itself, including the long escalator ride uphill, helped break things up nicely and gave a good sense of the city’s layout. Our guide, Sinclair, was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, and very easy to spend a few hours with. Ask for him if you can. He adjusted expectations well and kept the tour engaging throughout, especially for my young son. Because we did the tour on Christmas Day, some stops were closed, so we didn’t get the full experience that others might on a regular day. Overall, the tour delivered on insight, atmosphere, and great food. If you’re in Hong Kong on a normal weekday, I’d expect it to be even better. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand Hong Kong beyond just eating and actually learn about what they’re eating.

Sinclair was amazing. He took us to the best yum cha and noodles. And he had lots of stories and knowledge about Hong Kong and restaurants. We appreciate how well he looked after us, helping us buy fruit in the stalls and giving recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip. We loved this tour, thank you so much.

it was wonderful, much better than I expected. Especially, Ivy, tour guide, was so nice. She explained about the Cantonese foods as well as the recent history of HK. Each local restaurant we visited has Michelin star, and all foods we tasted were distinguished.
