National Orchid Garden
The National Orchid Garden showcases over 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids, a result of the Gardens’ renowned orchid breeding programme that began in 1928. Thoughtfully cultivated by expert horticulturists, these stunning orchids are displayed in a beautifully designed setting near Burkill Hall. 5.00Well I love orchids. And this place made me love them even more. What a beautiful place. The plants are amazing. It is laid out wonderfully. Needed the cool green house as we seemed to pick the hottest day in Singapore to visit. Needed my portable fan, umbrella and hat to keep cool. Restaurant was also a great place to cool down and have a meal and a nice drink.

5.00Beautiful orchids - glorious colours, very well maintained, good signage, lively experience. Just be sure to read ticket conditions - I didn't and didn't realise I had to go to counter - queues were short and moved quickly - my mistake and certainly did not spoil the esperience.

5.00Absolutely stunning place - we were uplifted by it. The orchid garden was beautiful. In its own right. There are different areas to visit, like the rain forest section. Also areas to picnic. It really is a must see. But we could have paid a lot less as Seniors if we had bought our tickets there on the day.

5.00Generous, spacious grounds with ever new surprises for the eye. Numerous natural-looking works of art are harmoniously integrated. The visit is especially worthwhile in fine weather, there are only a few greenhouses that are covered. My wife and her sister, who accompanied us on holiday, were absolutely delighted. Very worthwhile indeed.

4.00A great way to spend a few hours and get lost in Singapore’s natural beauty. We did not do all of the botanical gardens maybe only a quarter due to time plus we paid for the orchid garden which was beautiful. Would definitely visit again if back in the future, to see the rest of the botanics.
