What To Expect
Batu Caves
The Batu Caves in Malaysia are one of the most important Hindu religious sites outside of India and are a must-see once you tire of shopping and wandering Kuala Lumpur. Just eight short miles north of the city, the Batu Caves are just one of the many interesting things to do around Kuala Lumpur. The caves attract around 5,000 visitors a day who come to climb the grueling 272 steps up to the caverns. The Batu Caves are a focal point for Hindu Malaysians, particularly during Thaipusam: they house a 113-year-old temple, along with an interesting array of Hindu artwork and shrines. Every year during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam, the Batu Caves attract more than a million devotees and spectators. The eight-hour procession of music and ceremony leaves offerings before a giant statue of Lord Murugan, the Hindu God of War.

5.00Unfortunately the driver couldn't find the right terminal. Still a good review because Ubs Tripadvisor refunded the money. Please be careful when booking the terminal for the boat trip is huge and in some cases are up to 10 km apart

5.00This all-day city tour worked out perfectly for us! Port Klang is over an hour's drive from central Kuala Lumpur. It's difficult to find a local guide who picks up at the cruise ship terminal. Most want to meet you at a hotel or landmark. (We weren't interested in the ship-offered excursions.) We were met in the arrivals hall with a name board, he loaded us into his van, and off we went to see the city's major sites. We covered a lot of territory in spite of KL's notorious traffic. When we were finished, he dropped us back at the cruise terminal. If you're looking for an excellent all-day city tour shore excursion, one that meets you at the cruise terminal, this is the one to book!

5.00Zaiful brought us from Taman Negara to Ipoh, a 5 hour drive. Zaiful was very friendly and even bought us some fruit! We listened to his favourite music and he wanted to hear some music from our home country; Holland. Overall the ride was very comfortable and would highly recommend to have him as your driver in Malaysia! If we ever need another ride in Malaysia I would contact him again.
