First, I will say that all wine tours will be very nice in Burgandy but with Bourgogne Gold Tour and especially with our guide, David, it was an amazing day. David provided enough knowledge but at the same time was relaxed and made it entertaining. The tastings and wineries we visited were top notch. I highly recommend this tour and we will definitely try to get David to take us on another tour on our next trip. Thank you!!

We had an amazing private wine tour with David of Bourgogne Gold Tour. He was so knowledgeable and such a pleasure to tour with! We learned so much, saw amazing vineyards and cellars, and enjoyed our time touring the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. David was an exceptional guide showing us so much detail and taking the extra time for special sites to see, great picture spots, and things we just couldn't miss. It was the perfect day!!

My wife and I did a private two day excursion to Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits with David. We did not know much about Burgundy wines before we started the excursion. David was an exceptional guide who educated us on the basic and more advanced topics of Burgundy wine in a fun and interesting way. He thoroughly answered all of our questions and was a real pleasure to be with over the two days. David has a very easy going manner and a great sense of humor and he did an excellent job of explaining the complicated nuances of the Burgundy wine region in an “easy to understand” manner. We really enjoyed the diversity of the wineries that we visited as well as the people we met at each stop. We visited 3 wineries each day. Some wineries were large and established who produce many wines and others were small, low production, family wineries where we spent time with the actual winemaker. David did a great job of keeping everything interesting and making sure we saw the key wine sites with enough time for pictures and questions. Fabien did a great job of scheduling our lunches at two fantastic restaurants. We had an opportunity to purchases wines at each stop and not once did we feel obligated to do so. I would recommend taking advantage of this opportunity, especially for Grand Cru’s, as the prices are much lower than in the US. Another tip, both of our days went fast and were full, so I would not make any other plans for the day. We highly recommend this tour. Well worth the time and money.

I agree with the nicest things said about this experience even though I didn’t read them all so I’ll focus on specifics and tips: Fabien was superb; warm, funny, 100% welcoming of us and our naïveté about Burgundy and wine in general, and a great teacher. A+++. 8 hours sounded like a long time to be in a van going to vineyards and it turned out to be perfect. The day flew by. We were dropped off for a lovely leisurely lunch just the two of us and our final tasting was close to our hotel by design. Pacing was perfect. The winemakers were delightful. We were not on a $40 per bottle excursion, nor should we have been, but we had fun spending money on excellent wine that let us take our experience home in a bottle. Tip: compare the cost per bottle to what you may have spent on meals in Paris if you came that way; we were fortunate to have had a terribly disappointing meal at a super expensive restaurant in Paris, so everything on this tour looked like a steal. That said, we felt no pressure to buy any wine. Most important tip: we’d done a 4 hour bike tour/wine tasting the day before that was a whole lot of fun and not at all duplicative of our day with Fabien. The bike tour gave us a good foundation to climb the curve with Fabien. I think doing those tours in the opposite order would have made a lot less sense. We had a wonderful time and this was foundational to our trip to Burgundy. 10 stars

We booked BGT after they had come highly recommended through two friends who had separately done trips in the region. I went with my dad, and we had the best time and a wonderful experience with David. We did three days - one Côte de Nuits, one Cote de Beaune, and one Bourgogne du Sud. David was very knowledgeable, and helped me learn a lot about the region and wine. We also loved the mix of bigger domaines and smaller, family owned ones. Coordinating the trip was also very easy — Fabien was extremely responsive and helpful. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend!
