What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
9:15 am: You will arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. 9:30 am: Explore the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunitions etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. 11:30 am: Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese traditional lunch by the river. 12:30 am: Say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

5.00It was very interesting to learn about the underground tunnel system the Cu Chi people employed and lived in during the Vietnam war as well as to learn about how they made their weapons and employed their guerrilla warfare tactics. Mr T was very knowledgeable, energetic, willing to answer all and any questions, and shared a lot about the lives of south Vietnamese people. The speedboat tour on the Saigon river was very smooth and easy. I highly recommend the tour and Mr T if you can get him as your tour guide.

5.00What an interesting trip, learnt so much about the Vietnam war, some personal stories from our tour guild added extra insights into the history around the tunnels and life in Vietnam. Had a lovely relaxing ride on the speed boat both ways and added a nice way to cool down in the afternoon. The lunch that was provided was delicious one of the best we have had all trip, they also did a lovely variety of vegetarian dishes for one of our party. Had an absolute blast.

5.00This has to be one of the best ways to get to see the Cu Chi Tunnels. We were picked up on the dot of the agreed time; efficiently transferred to the dock; & made comfortable on the boat. Very enjoyable ride (approx. 1 1/2 hrs). So much better than going by mini-bus or coach. We were provided with fresh fruit, croissants & plenty of bottled water. The Cu Chi tunnels were pretty busy, as I expect they always are. So there wasn’t a lot of time to linger at each of the displays/tunnels/underground rooms. But our tour lasted about 1 3/4 - 2 hours, and we saw most things, except the short movie (which apparently is a little biased). We then had a really excellent lunch which came with a beer & water. The lunch was certainly better than expectations. We then enjoyed the ride back to the city on the boat, and were at our hotel by around 2pm, which allowed time to do other things. I should mention that the guide, Minh, & his colleagues were excellent- both knowledgeable and very pleasant, caring people. Communication from the tour company people was excellent - e-mails & WhatsApp msgs beforehand to confirm arrangements, etc. We felt that the trip was good value for money, and would highly recommend it.

Mr. Chi’s personal experience and history gave us so much great insight and personal connection. Highly recommended The food was fine.

5.00We had the most incredible day exploring the Saigon River and the Cu Chi Tunnels with Mr Chi. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The boat ride along the river was beautiful and peaceful, offering such a unique perspective of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr Chi was the perfect guide — warm, knowledgeable, funny, and so genuine. He shared fascinating history, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience feel personalised and special. Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels was unforgettable. Thanks to Mr Chi’s explanations and storytelling, we understood the history in a much deeper and more meaningful way. It’s an emotional and eye-opening experience, and we felt completely supported and taken care of throughout the day. 5.00Mr. Chi was a fantastic guide. From the very beginning, he clearly explained how the afternoon would unfold and shared both the history and his personal stories and perspectives on the American War. Once we arrived at the Cu Chi Tunnels, he made sure our group stayed together and continued providing detailed, insightful explanations about their history. Traveling there by speedboat was a lot of fun and saved us plenty of time. Overall, must visit if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City and a great experience!
