We visited Phare Circus in November, and was a very memorable part of the trip. It is a highly professional and well-produced affair, combining engaging storytelling with impressive acrobatics with performers that demonstrate incredible athleticism. What adds real value to the experience is the charitable component, as all profits are directed towards arts training and social support, providing education and prospects for young Cambodians. It is definitely worth attending a performance when in Siem Reap.

The show was not bad, but the seating was, i regret going to the show to be honest, my back and legs are sore, there is no room between the rows, the bench is hard and the pillow does little to help, people jam their legs in your back, i need a massage after this show. I wanted to leave early but i was stuck in the middle because there is no room to walk between the rows. i think it's a shame because there were some talented people, and the show was touching at times, and even funny.

If you only do one thing in Siem Reap besides temples, go see Phare Circus. From the moment you walk under the big-top tent you sense something special — and the show itself more than lives up to the hype. The acrobatics, dance, live music and theatrical storytelling come together in a way that feels equal parts Cirque-level spectacle and warm, authentic Cambodian soul. The performers’ athleticism and timing are breathtaking, powerful and with a thread of cheeky humour that was refreshing, all seamlessly woven into a story rich with humor, and heart. What makes Phare truly stand out is that it’s not just about entertainment — it’s a social-enterprise with a purpose. The circus is run by a non-profit that gives young Cambodian people from disadvantaged backgrounds training in arts, performance, and academics, offering them real opportunities through creativity. By attending the show, you don’t just treat yourself to an amazing night out — you help support this mission, and contribute to a future where art helps heal, uplift, and sustain lives. Goodness knows we need more at in the world. The venue is intimate enough that every seat feels close to the action. Add in a pre-show by younger students, good on-site food, and a small gift shop with handmade crafts — and you get more than a performance: you get a full evening experience that lingers in memory long after the final bow. If you are visiting Siem Reap: don’t miss it. Phare Circus is an unforgettable blend of artistry, emotion, and meaningful impact. Highly recommended.

We had front row seats and the action was non-stop and almost in our laps at times. The actors/ acrobats are fantastic, the story is moving and the music is live and authentic. Highly recommended. There was so much action I didn’t want to waste time taking pictures.

These guys and a gal were amazing - so talented with unbelievable skills. The performance was also set to cleverly tell the traumatic tale of Cambodia's tragic history. One of the best acrobatic performances I have ever seen - like Cirque du Soleil but on a budget. You MUST see this if you get the opportunity!

The show was very entertaining. The food outside was very tasty. However the seats were very uncomfortable, I had a sore back when I was leaving and the guy behind me kept jamming his feet into my back, because there wasn't enough room for his feet and my bottom on the bench. Even though they thoughtfully provided personal fans, the space was just way too hot. All and all it was a fun activity.

I am lost for words. This show is amazing, and they have different story every day/week. For a moment I felt like I was in New York watching a Broadway show. The show has everything you thing of, amazing performance that makes you laugh and cry, live artist on the show and pleasant staff. I highly recommend that you book in advance if you want to get a good seat. The seating arrangements goes by sections A, B, and C with different prices. The attached photos are from the free show that starts around 7pm. I was not sure If I was allowed to take photos during the main show so I didnt

Our first time in Cambodia, Siem Reap, to be exact. The city is typically Asian chaos but also very relaxed if you don't mind being hustled for a Tok Tok evey 20 metres. We had a very nice hotel, The Aviary, its walking distance to most places. Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples 🛕 are worth the trip alone. These people have an amazing history that is well worth hearing about. Food and drink wise we recommend WILD for cocktails and nibbles and Fellini for when the local food has become too much and Pub Street to see what the rest of the world do after dark. Enjoy

I didn't really know what to expect when I booked a circus. I didn't think there would be animals, rather I thought that it would be aerial acrobatics. However it was so much more than that; funny, breathtaking and moving. The show we saw took us through the recent history of Cambodia up to the present day. There were lots of laughs, some sobering moments as well as WOW acrobatics! It's suitable for all ages and all the seats have great views. It's one of the best thing I've ever seen. Don't miss it!
