Meet your guide at the tourism office, Place Bellecour central Lyon and get aboard his minivan for a wonderful day in the Côtes du Rhône world. The northern part of the Rhône valley is reputed for its exceptional wines, several of them being classed amongst the finest in France. On this intimate tour we will give both winemaker and you the wine taster the opportunity to meet up and share a few words about terroir. You will taste the best wines of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes !

What To Expect
Place Bellecour
Your guide will pick you up Place Bellecour and you will be heading south to the prestigious Côte-Rôtie vineyards.
Tain-l'Hermitage
you will push the door of a local winery and taste 5 or 6 different Côtes du Rhône wine varieties. Among them, you will find the excellent AOC wines : Hermitage and Croze-Hermitage. You will taste the best wine of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes !

5.00Eddy was very knowledgeable and seemed to know everyone in the Rhone valley. We loved the wine (bought a case to ship home) and the countryside was beautiful. He took us to a very locals’ restaurant for lunch and I tried Frogs Legs! Recommend the trip to wine experts as well as novices.

5.00Had a great time with Francois… The day was fabulous. I have never seen vineyards such as the ones here on the northern Rome slopes. One of the highlights was The lunch with the group. Francois picked a fabulous restaurant.

5.00Francois was our guide of 7 to the southern Rhone Valley on a cloudy Saturday. The trip was both informative and entertaining and our travel companions from Canada and California were an enjoyable group to taste excellent wines, learn about the region and share a delicious midday meal. Highly recommend this trip which took over 7 hours and was very comfortable and enjoyable.

5.00We had a great day in the Rhône Valley! Our guide, Eddy, was extremely knowledgeable and has a real passion for wine and teaching his guests. The day was well planned but relaxing and, compared to other wine tours I've done in other regions, this one took us both to the wine houses and into the hills for incredible views. The wine was great as well!

4.00The day was beautiful and we were welcomed by our tour guide Eddie or from here on in to be known as Fast Eddie. With quite a sedate group we hurtled our way at break neck speed to experience a wonderful day full of wine, views and great food. Much information was parted to us by 2 very knowledgeable experts. Fast Eddie was also very knowledgeable and generous with his information . He was, in turn enthusiastic and encouraged by those in the group who also had and shared their knowledge. The restaurant we visited was fabulous and the wine was wonderful. Thanks Fast Eddie, my nerves were shot but our hearts and stomach were full.

5.00Pick up and travel was easy and comfortable. Tour was informative and engaging. It had an off-the-cuff nature to it, not scripted and phoned in. Romain was a great guide who brought knowledge and a good energy. We stopped at two wineries and had one of the best French meals we’ve had on this trip. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Romain for a wonderful day out 🍷
