Thanks to the Do Eat Better Experience Food Tours you will have an overview of the gastronomic tradition of the beautiful city of Lyon and feel like a true local, while walking through the streets and tasting delicious typical dishes, always guided by our Local Expert.
Try the original quenelle, the famous Côtes du Rhône wine, traditional Lyonnais charcuterie and sweets, such as the praluline. You will enjoy the views and atmosphere of the old town area of the city and learn something about local history and culture with an expert local guide.

What To Expect
Lyon
Our tour guide will meet you at the meeting point and will show you the city while tasting all the typical food. The tastings here described can change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
In an amazing local boutique near Lyon Cathedral and with the help of one of the most famous sommeliers of Lyon you will taste some excellent local wine and local charcuterie, such as Rosette de Lyon.

5.00We had an amazing food tour in Lyon’s Old Town with Maya — it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. She took us to several local restaurants and hidden gems where we experienced some of the best Lyonnais food. We tasted a wonderful variety of cheeses, wines, sausages, and curated meats, and every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and authentic. For the main course, she brought us to a traditional bouchon, followed by a visit to a bar to try local spirits, which made the experience even more complete. Maya is funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly warm. She shared not only food recommendations but also stories about Lyon’s culture and culinary traditions, which made the tour both delicious and meaningful. We felt like we were exploring the city with a friend who truly loves Lyon. If you’re visiting Lyon and want to experience real local food beyond tourist spots, I highly recommend booking a tour with Maya. It was an unforgettable experience and absolutely worth it.

5.00My husband and I did the food tour with Anna in January, 2026. We were so lucky that it just ended up being the two of us and the tour still went ahead! Anna was very knowledgeable about the sites/history and we learnt a lot whilst having a fun time and trying delicious food. 5.00This is a must do good tour if you are in lyon and you get Elisabetta as your tour guide, you have the best of both worlds - great good and a knowledgeable friendly passionate guide! Elisabetta was not only knowledgeable but she’s also very caring. She ensure both adults and children in our tour are all well taken. She explains where we going to next, what we going to try and gave a fun and interesting of the history of the food and place! This is definitely a must do tour when you are in Lyon!!

5.00It was a great pleasure to taste many gourmet points with Natalie. She painted one of our best memories about Lyon to different colors. We paid only one all inclusive price. It took our whole day and we were already full and ready to enjoy our evening with beverages. We met the local Lyoniers. They were all very friendly and we felt like visiting friends and relatives. Wasn’t too crowded perhaps because it was winter and chilly weather. We still enjoyed every second. We were with our 8 month old son. He slept through the day. Although it would be best for couples with rather 10-12 year old kids. Lyon is one of our favorites. Thanks to Natalie.

5.00Nathalie took us around Lyon where we got to eat and drink so much delicious and unique food. We ran the gamut from appetizers (charcuterie and frommage) to dessert. In the end, she provided a list of recommended restaurants and sights. I would highly recommend this tour!!!
