Who says you need to travel for hours and hours for good snorkelling? Spend a day exploring the underwater world of the Khao Lak coastline with the people who know it best. Our local reef & deserted beach trip is perfect for those who want experience amazing snorkeling without the crowds.
In recent years the popular Phi Phi, Similan and Surin Islands have seen a massive rise in the number of tourists visiting every day. Here in Khao Lak we are lucky enough to have beautiful local reefs along our coastline. Our local snorkelling trip is flexible and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

In the event that it is not possible to snorkel due to unforeseen sea or weather conditions, an alternative program will be offered.
The best time for snorkeling in Khao Lak is from November to April. Mid-May until mid-October is the monsoon season in Thailand.

What To Expect
Example Itinerary - Transfer by local style taxi to our pier in a small fishing village. - Cruise along the edge of the mangrove forests and past the larger local fishing towns. - Snorkel around some of the best local reefs that are home to several different species of marine life. Including loin fish, clown fish and moray eels. - Relax on a hidden beach with a delicious local style lunch. - Chill on the beach before heading back to the pier.

2.00Far too expensive for what you get....Total we only had about 1 hour to snorkel. I expected a little more for a snorkeling trip. At the same time, we were the 5th or 6th. Boat at the location where we were allowed to snorkel. So it was not lonely and alone. The stand was nice but also there the tourists were passed through. I would not recommend this tour and would not book again.

5.00We had a nice day with a total of 7 people in our group. We enjoyed the small group compared to the large groups on longer tours. Snorkeling was fun, although I could have spent more time doing it. We really loved the beach they took us to, beautiful and perfect water. The crew was nice too. If you want a shorter snorkeling tour instead of an uncomfortable speedboat ride, this is good.

5.00Amazing trip and the guide, Sam, was incredible. The knowledge imparted supported the snorkelling and made identifying the fish and coral much easier. The deserted beach was a terrific spot to stop for lunch and the food was sensational. The only downside was that the turtles didn’t come out to play on this occasion.

5.00A perfect day. From the pick up, snorkeling to the nice time on the private beach we enjoyed the day very much. We booked the tour only for us as a couple and were very satisfied as we could take the time individually - as we liked it. Thanks to the team, highly recommended.

5.00This is a must do trip. Our guide Ohm was awesome. Snorkelling, lunch, the beach, everything I wanted and no crowds. There were only 5 of us on the tour . Exceptional service and loved the reusable water bottles.

5.00Our guide Ohm and his colleagues were great. Picked up promptly at our hotel and then it’s 15 mins to the boat. First place we went snorkeling was a bit churning so he took us to another area which was calm and full of sea life. He came in either us and pointed out lots of things you might not notice. No rushing at any point. Beautiful views from the boat of the mangrove forests. Then a lovely picnic lunch on an empty beach in the national park - an island. Time to chill, swim as long as you want thereafter. Thoroughly recommended

3.00Nice day out on the boat around the estuary, however poor snorkelling this time of year, they shouldn’t really be marketing it out of season. Also horrendous amounts of rubbish and glass in the shallows, making in not nice to look at. Maybe better in summer season
