The country roads from Sarlat to Lascaux were so beautiful with the woods still green but with patches of the foliage of red and yellow leaves. So the distance seemed much shorter than it really was. The caves, although replicated, were simply impressive and our guide was knowledgeable and full of humour. There was a crowd, thanks to the school holidays, but it was not intimidating because the touring groups were well managed. The gift shop was a bonus at the end.

Excellent organization, visit in groups of about 25 people with audio guides and an excellent guide Victor who delighted us with his humor and explanations accessible to all although he is a scholar archaeologist. The overall greed lasts between 1h30 and 2h including 30 minutes in cave 4 reconstituted to the nearest MM. Then there are a number of cinemas with partial and didactic reconstructions of the engravings of the films.

The tour did not take too long and the guide was witty and told with the necessary enthusiasm so that even our children remained inspired. The museum afterwards was also great fun.

Takes one to incredible prehistory. In simple English they are awing. I’ve wanted to see them since I saw the movie about their recreation was released. I cannot imagine not being taken away by them. Our 5our guid e was terrific and so knowledgeable.

Fascinating. The cave recreation, workshop, and English-speaking guide in the cave was fascinating snd so interesting. However, Lena, our guide for the entire tour made the trip. It was the second time we toured with her. She is great!

We had a great experience! Pick up was smooth and seamless and Benoit was a knowledgeable and kind guide. We highly recommend going to Lascaux cave and Sarlat is an amazing town to stay and explore the area. Also highly recommend taking the canoe down the Dordogne river if the weather is warm.
