Jewel Cave
Fully-guided tours showcase the breathtaking magnitude of Jewel Cave. You will see towering crystal creations that have taken thousands of years to form, and intricate decorations stretching and suspended across the ceiling, like vines and dancing cobwebs. From stalagmites to flowstone, shawls, helictites and even ‘cave coral’; this cave tour reveals the most amazing variety of cave formations or ‘speleothems’. Once you see the ‘natural entrance’ to this cave, the means of entry for the intrepid cave explorers of the 1950’s, you will appreciate the incredible task they faced in opening up this spectacular cave to the public. You'll also hear stories of the now-extinct ‘Tasmanian Tigers’ that fell into the cave and met a dark and lonely fate. At the end of your tour, your awe-inspiring crystal journey is perfectly complemented with the option of the self-guided ‘Karri Walk’ through the towering forest giants, and viewing the ‘natural entrance’ from above the cave. The Jewel Cave Centre is complete with interpretive area, retail and café facilities.

Excellent tour. Digby was sensational, knowledgeable and humorous. I had a bit of a freak out on the descent and he was terrific in giving me confidence and persuading me to continue. I was extremely grateful as once I got over that blip I loved the experience! Terrific value for money.

The cave is amazing! We only struggled walking the 250 steps back up from the floor of the cave. Young and fit will have no trouble. You’ll be wheezing a bit and rest to sit and hydrate at the cafe when you return! But worth it!! Josh is a great tour guide too

We’ve been here many times and will continue to go back. A truly mind blowing experience. The vastness of the cave is incredible. The guides are always amazing and it’s something every family member will talk about for years.

A truly huge and beautiful cave with a very interesting history. Clare, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the cave and gave us a great guided tour that enabled us to take lots of photos. I recommend this cave for anyone interested in this type of activity. Just out of Augusta, Western Australia.

The Tour is excellent and our guide, Sandra, very knowledgeable and easy going. Pace of the tour is good but for those who struggle with stairs/steps it may be challenging. The Cafe has light snacks and cake, good gf selections. Highly recommend you add this to your travel itinerary.
