While Jumbo Floating Restaurant might be gone, the oldest and only standing floating restaurant - Tai Pak Floating Restaurant is still standing strong in the middle of Aberdeen Fishing Village. Tai Pak - being one of the 13 landmarks is a renowned seafood restaurant that was built in the 1950s and also known for its ancient imperial architectural design. The restaurant (soon to be reopened) sears around 600 diners. It was featured in several movies and visited by dignitaries (late Queen Elizabeth II) and Hollywood starts. During the tour, we will stop in front of Tai Pak Floating Restaurant for you to take a picture with the magnificent imperial like floating structure as your backdrop!

I would not recommend it to friends even if for free, not worth the time or taxi fair. The museum is a family boat that they use occasionally, an exhibit but not a museum..less than an hour

Good Experience to explore the chinese traditional culture.Next time the activity will be longer. Hope more schools can join the activities because it's worth to spend time there.

Good way to get an initial look at Aberdeen. The prerecorded English guide was a little off of the progress, but it the end we could figure out what they were talking about

  • Not worth it

It’s a shabby old area with nothing else there. The boat trip is nowhere near the money you pay for it. It was nice to see an old fishing village but the floating boat is a clapped out old heap. It’s on the other side of Hong Kong too so it costs you money to get there. I enjoyed it but it’s only worth £10/15 in my humble opinion. We paid £48 for two people and £30 in taxis. Not worth it. Boat trip was about 30/40 mins long. Staff were very nice.

This was not worth the time or money. First off, the operator had no idea that I was coming or that I had signed up and already paid. There was no audio tour. This was only 1 hour long when it was advertised as being longer. The “museum” wasn’t a museum.

  • Not worth the money. Bad lunch.

The Sampan ride was fun but there was no commentary. It was a private ride. The lunch afterwards was very poor. My husband had the noodle soup. I had the fried rice. My fried rice was the worst I have ever eaten. It was all globbed together. The meat in the soup was very tough and the broth was very bland. The noodles were mediocre. This was an expensive experience that would have been a lot less if we had just walked up. Definitely do not do the lunch add on. If there was a money back guarantee I would ask for my money back.

I guess they are as authentic as they get, but not necessarily old. and a great way to putter (wala wala) around the bay. You get great views of the surrounding buildings, the super yachts and the fishing village. Took about 20 minutes. ..
